Former NFL star drops puzzling critique of Dak Prescott’s error-game despite Cowboys QB’s incredible streak

Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott is one of the most scrutinized quarterbacks in the NFL right now, ignoring the simple reality that he has a great knack for leading his team to victory. Not even the New York Jets’ Aaron Rodgers, recuperating from a season-ending injury, escaped the scrutiny of fans who found time to appreciate Prescott’s stellar performances.

Among the vocal critics of the Cowboys’ star player, former Philadelphia Eagles player LeSean McCoy occupies a prominent position. McCoy remains steadfast in his reluctance to shower praise on Prescott, even after witnessing the quarterback’s field supremacy against the Seattle Seahawks.

Prescott’s perfect night questioned by LeSean McCoy’s unusual standards

With a 9-3 record, the Dallas Cowboys are making a fervent push for this season’s Super Bowl title. Despite the impressive performance that has garnered admiration from notable figures like Denzel Washington, one individual remains unconvinced. He is none other than LeSean McCoy, who hesitates to become a Dak Prescott fan.

Prescott’s exceptional display in the recent victory over the Seattle Seahawks failed to sway McCoy’s opinion, as he couldn’t find the MVP-level play in the quarterback’s formidable offensive showing. McCoy’s emphasis shifted to the absence of interceptions or fumbles, asserting that a comprehensive evaluation requires observing how Prescott handles mistakes.

The former Eagles player posited that Prescott could win his heart through bounce-back performances after missed opportunities on the field.

“We didn’t see Dak throw a pick or have a fumble. How do you respond? Normally, when I see him respond, it’s not with three or four touchdowns. That’s what I want to see. When things are going bad, when he messes up, how does he respond?”

Despite McCoy’s reservations, Dak Prescott’s recent games for the Cowboys have been extraordinary, marked by a revealed “cadence.” Against the Seahawks, Prescott’s precision and leadership shone through, with a stat line showcasing 299 yards, three touchdowns, and zero interceptions on 29 completions from 41 attempts.

Dak Prescott breaks silence on challenges of new offense

Following the triumphant win against Seattle, Dak Prescott shared insights into his comfort level with Coach McCarthy’s play-calling, a topic he had not extensively discussed throughout the season. In his postgame remarks, Prescott openly acknowledged the difficulties associated with this aspect, highlighting the presence of “challenges” that are inherently demanding.

He hinted at the intricacies involved in adapting to strategic changes and aligning with the play-calling decisions made by McCarthy.

However, he demonstrated belief and commitment, highlighting his dedication to improving and adapting his gameplay in response to the challenges faced throughout the season.

“There were challenges in it. I don’t want to necessarily say it was tough. But at the end of the day it’s about believing and committing to it. And that’s what I did. Not only committing to Mike calling the plays but the changes that were asked in the way that I play the game and the footwork and whatever it may be,” he said, per the Dallas Cowboys.

The Cowboys are scheduled to battle their divisional rival, the high-flying Philadelphia Eagles, in their upcoming contest, from whom they are just one victory behind.
