Former women’s champ Nia Jax once made WWE RAW star tear up calling her “fake”

During her 8-year tenure with WWE, Nia Jax was at the center of numerous controversies. She faced criticism for being considered an ‘unsafe’ worker in the ring. Notably, in an episode of WWE’s Total Divas, Jax was seen berating fellow superstar Carmella, even going so far as to call her ‘fake’ at one point.

Nia Jax’s departure from WWE came in November 2021 when she requested time off to address her mental health. Prior to her exit, she held the Women’s Tag Team Championships alongside Shayna Baszler. However, they relinquished the titles to Natalya and Tamina in May 2021. Subsequently, Baszler turned on Jax and subjected her to a brutal beatdown, writing her off television with an arm injury.

When Nia Jax made WWE RAW star Carmella cry on Total Divas

Total Divas is what many can describe as the thin line between kayfabe and reality. It mostly features the drama between WWE’s female wrestlers. In an episode of it’s 9th season, fans witnessed a segment between WWE superstar Carmella and Nia Jax that came off as an infamous and unscripted moment.

During an October 2019 episode of Total Divas, Carmella could be seen confronting Nia Jax, questioning why she had been avoiding her. Jax responded bluntly, telling Carmella to her face that she perceived The Princess of Staten Island as ‘fake’ and lacking genuineness. The Irresistible Force explained that this was the reason behind her evasive behavior.

Jax’s words appeared to deeply affect Carmella, who seemed at a loss for words upon hearing them. Tamina Snuka was present during their confrontation and attempted to deescalate the situation, stating that the insult was uncalled for. However, Nia paid no attention to this, leaving Carmella in tears. Whether this exchange was scripted or not remains unknown, but Mella’s reaction suggests it may not have been.

On another episode of Total Divas, Nia took another dig at Carmella for being “too safe” in the ring. Some might consider this ironic, considering that Nia received tons of criticism for being unsafe in the ring. The two women eventually buried the hatchet when Nia Jax apologized for her behavior towards Carmella. Her apology was duly accepted and Nia revealed that her struggles with injuries had severely impacted her mindset.

Wrestling fans share thoughts on Nia Jax’s WWE surprising comeback

On this week’s edition of Monday Night RAW, Nia Jax made a shocking return to WWE. In the main event of the night, Rhea Ripley defended her Women’s Championship against Raquel Rodriguez. The latter provided a hell of a fight to the champ, and put on one of the best matches of the card.

However, it didn’t matter in the end, as Jax ended up taking out Rodriguez and allowing Ripley to retain her title. She then took out The Eradicator after the match as well, sending a clear message to the WWE Universe. She’s back and coming for the gold.

However, some fans aren’t exactly excited for return of The Irresistible Force. Some said that Ripley finally has a worthy opponent of her size, maybe even greater than her size. On the other hand, others pointed out the fact that she looks exactly like how she looked two years ago.
