As a former WWE Champion who was at the top of the company in 2017, Jinder Mahal definitely has a ton of experience being the face of the company. He recently shared his thoughts on Roman Reigns and who could possibly dethrone him as the undisputed WWE champion.
Roman Reigns’ title run as the Undisputed WWE Champion is definitely one of the greatest championship reigns in the company’s long and illustrious history. Although he is on a limited schedule as of now, he has long passed the 1000-day mark as Universal Champion and is currently the biggest draw for the company.
Jinder Mahal names Roman Reigns’ reign halting opponent
Jinder Mahal is a former WWE Champion and had a memorable rivalry with Randy Orton and Shinsuke Nakamura during his title reign in 2017. In an interview with Sportskeeda WrestleBinge prior to WWE Superstar Spectacle, Jinder Mahal shared his thoughts on The Tribal Chief and remarked that the only way his title reign would come to an end is when he retires from WWE.

When asked who could be the person to potentially bring an end to Roman Reigns‘ dominant championship run, The Modern Day Maharaja said that according to him, the only person who can dethrone The Tribal Chief is Reigns himself. According to Mahal, with Paul Heyman’s guidance and a relaxed schedule, Reigns is in an advantageous position. The only way we are seeing him get dethroned would be when Roman Reigns hangs up his boots and steps away from the squared circle.
“I think the only one who can dethrone Roman Reigns is himself when he retires. That’s my answer. Right now, just so much momentum. He has Paul Heyman in his ear, guiding him. And, of course, his schedule. He only comes around once in a while, he picks his shots, so he has every advantage,” said Jinder Mahal.
Bron Breakker compares his spear to Reigns’
Bron Breakker is undoubtedly one of the most dominant and toughest wrestlers in WWE NXT. Ever since his debut, he has been racking up wins left and right and is already a two-time NXT Champion. His persona as a heel is reflected even in his moveset, especially his ring-shattering Spear.

While speaking to Stick To Wrestling, Bron Breakker was asked whether he has any interest in a potential feud with Undisputed WWE Champion Roman Reigns in the future, based on the claim that he has the best Spear in the business. Breakker said that although the Tribal Chief may be as good as everyone says he is, Breakker has a better spear than the Undisputed Champ and that it’s not even up to a debate.
“Yeah, sure. Roman is the WWE Universal Champion, ‘The Tribal Chief,’ the greatest, whatever you want to call it. Roman is fantastic, and he’s all the great things that he says he is. But when I Spear people, they don’t get up. I try to inflict as much pain as I can on my opponents. There is a difference, when you turn on the tape, between me spearing someone and then when he does it, cut and dry. So that’s not up for me to decide. I know my Spear is better. There’s no debate.”
It looks like Bron Breakker is definitely confident in his moveset and believes his Spear to be better than Reigns’. It would be interesting to see whether the young NXT star ever crosses paths with the Tribal Chief in the future and puts his theory to the test.
