The ongoing transfer saga of Paris Saint-Germain forward Kylian Mbappé is creating a buzz worldwide. Following the announcement of his departure from Parc des Princes in June, when his two-year contract extension concludes as per club manager Luis Enrique, the Parisians are already preparing for life without him.
The Frenchman is highly sought after by top clubs, with Manchester United offering a €700 million package deal. However, Mbappé is inching closer to joining his dream club, Real Madrid, as Spain remains his preferred destination. Amid this, he was invited by French President Emmanuel Macron for dinner at the Elysee Palace.
France President Emmanuel Macron talks on Kylian Mbappe transfer
Kylian Mbappe is currently in negotiations with the 14-time UEFA Champions League winners and is reportedly looking to commit his future with a five-year contract. The forward has officially confirmed his departure from the Parisians from next season onwards by informing PSG and their president, Nasser Al-Khelaifi, of his decision.
In the midst of his transfer reports, the 25-year-old forward was present at the French President’s residence, the Élysée Palace, to meet the Emir of Qatar Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani on Tuesday evening. Emmanuel Macron made a humorous remark directed at the player as they shook hands with the Qatari guest.
“You are going to create more trouble for us,” the president said to Mbappé, though the exact context of Macron’s words remains unknown. However, it is believed to be related to his decision to leave the French capital to pursue a move to Santiago Bernabéu, following prolonged speculations.
Macron and Kylian Mbappé share a strong bond, with the French national team captain having previously been invited to the Élysée Palace and hailed as a hero across the country. The president has played a significant role in convincing the player to continue with PSG in the summer of 2021.

One-time World Cup winner, Kylian Mbappé, along with the PSG squad and the club’s Qatari president, Nasser Al-Khelaifi, were esteemed guests who received formal invitations from Emmanuel Macron to join him for a meal at his residence in Paris on Tuesday.
Macron hosted the Emir of Qatar during his first visit to France, primarily to discuss global issues, politics, and diplomacy at the dining table, including the ongoing Israel-Hamas conflict.
However, the evening’s discussion did not revolve around Mbappé’s transfer or sports. The players were simply attending the formal dinner.
