Francis Ngannou may not be stepping into the UFC octagon to challenge Jon Jones for the coveted heavyweight championship. But both fighters always seize the opportunity to engage in a spirited verbal confrontation. Not long ago, a similar scenario unfolded during the PFL vs. Bellator showdown.

Francis Ngannou reacts to Jon Jones claim

Every combat sports fan is eagerly awaiting a showdown between Francis Ngannou and Jon Jones, but unfortunately, their conflicting decisions have prevented them from facing off. Regardless of the ongoing verbal clashes between the two formidable fighters, the possibility of an actual fight happening remains uncertain.

Jon Jones attended the event in Riyadh to witness the PFL vs. Bellator showdown, where “the predator” was also seen ringside. Jon Jones was getting interviewed about the anticipated match-up between Anthony Joshua and Francis.

Later, he was also asked about whether the bout would happen and who would win it between them.

Jon Jones said, “I feel like there’s a lot of fight that the world wants right now. The Tom Aspinall fight is still really massive; Francis Ngannou and I would be really massive; and Stipe. To the hardcore fans, it’s still a respectable opponent. I don’t know how the cards are going to fall; my prediction is that I’d beat Stipe Miocic, and my prediction is that I’d beat Tom Aspinall and Francis Ngannou. So, the way that it unfolds is not really my business; my job is to do what I’ve always done since Day 1.”

The Moment Jon Jones commented about beating Francis, and 37-year-old Francis Ngannou made an immediate reaction by saying, “In your dreams, you’re f—king fat.” Earlier, both heavyweight fighters met at the PFL 5 card in Atlanta. There, they also exchanged lots of words in a friendly gesture.

Jon Jones is rooting for Ngannou despite putting his money on Anthony Joshua.

Francis is set to face Anthony Joshua in the boxing ring on March 8. Ngannou’s main competitor has a lot to say about the issue. Jon Jones is set to have a conversation with the PFL vs. Bellator commentator, sharing his thoughts on the outcome of the March 8th main event fight. Jones selects a former UFC colleague over a former boxing champion.

Jon Jones explained, “I’m rooting for Francis to win, only because of his story, how far he’s come in life, and me being a fellow mixed martial artist. How could you not root for Francis?

Jones, though, also didn’t ignore the fact that Joshua had most of the advantage while explaining, “Francis is a wonderful stand-up person… But Anthony Joshua has been doing this since he was a young boy, and I’m the type of guy who gives respect where it’s due. If I personally had to put my money on it, not that I gamble, I would put it on Anthony Joshua. But I am rooting for Francis.”

It is a big thing for Francis Ngannou that his biggest rival gave him the winning hand for his upcoming boxing match bout. Both Jones and Francis have always shown champion respect to each other while encountering each other during their UFC time and outside the UFC.

What are your thoughts on whether Jon Jones will come to watch Francis Ngannou take on Anthony Joshua on March 8th?
