Giants’ QB Daniel Jones’ costly mistake sparks sideline drama with HC Brian Daboll

With a 1-3 record thus far, the New York Giants have already established themselves as the worst team in the NFC East. This season has not only been difficult for the Giants but also for the team’s standout quarterback, Daniel Jones.

Jones’ string of poor choices astounded his head coach Brian Darboll and were a key factor in their loss to the Seattle Seahawks. Darboll, who always tried to save his quarterback from facing backlashes, also lost his cool and let it clearly be witnessed by his team fans.

The Giants’ disappointing night on Monday was further compounded by Daniel’s repeated failures to execute plays from the beginning. In the first half, the Seahawks gained possession of the ball in the Giants’ red zone after Jones mishandled the ball during a strip sack by Mario Edwards, and they capitalized on this opportunity to score.

Later in the contest, the quarterback of the Giants threw an interception that Devon Witherspoon intercepted and returned for a 97-yard touchdown. A touchdown would have at least reduced the score to 14-9. Unfortunately it became a horrible loss for the Giants as a result of the poor offensive play.

Daboll was quite disappointed by his quarterback’s decision to make the throw. Later, he was observed conversing with Jones and tossing a tablet into the trash out of annoyance.

He once more shows his discontent with his quarterback in a post-game interview.

“I was trying to show him, kind of, see what he thought, and then tell him what I saw,” Daboll said.

Jones himself uttered that they were frustrated and admitted his fault while hinting at a strong comeback soon.

Giants’ season takes a nosedive with loss to Seahawks

After making the playoffs last year and even picking up a postseason victory for the first time since Eli Manning won his second Super Bowl, the Giants supporters had high expectations for them this year. But the squad’s consecutive losses have destroyed the fans’ hopes, and their sorrow further deepened after witnessing the team suffer a humiliating 24-3 loss to the Seattle Seahawks.

The entire offensive lineup was deserving of blame, and it seemed like they never even tried to win. Jones’ bad choices are also credited as having a significant impact on the offense’s subpar performance. Additionally, the Seahawk’s defense was also unthreatened by the absence of a vet receiver.

The Seahawks, on the other hand, played hard on both sides of the ball and led 14-3 at the break. With such a level of play, the Giants continued to disappoint their supporters, failing to score a single goal after the break as well. At the end of the game, their quarterback had 203 passing yards, no touchdowns, and two interceptions.

The team’s tight end Darren Waller also accepted their offense was the main struggling point behind the terrible loss.

“Offense is just not good enough, in all facets. I don’t have anything to say, really. It’s just not good enough.”

The Seahawks will square off against the Dolphins in their Week 5 battle. Do you think they can entertain their fans again with a strong comeback?
