Haas Formula LLC’s Team principal Guenther Steiner has been with the company since it was founded in 2016. While Gene Haas is the club’s owner, Steiner has always been associated with the team due to his contributions. As the value of Haas continues to rise, rumors say that Steiner has claimed to be a ‘part owner’ of the team and is demanding $900 million in stock. And Steiner believes that this $900 million issue could only be resolved in court.
The significant surge in F1 popularity in 2021 sent a large amount of money to Haas. Steiner stated that Haas has entirely recovered from their difficult years and is actively rebuilding.
Guenther to drag Haas to court for $900 million “passion project”
Guenther Steiner, the team principal of Haas F1, is upset that Gene Haas, the team’s owner, does not recognize him as a part owner too. Steiner claims that he is entitled to a stake in Haas because he helped Gene co-found the company in 2014. The Italian-American has served as team principal for seven years, and he has played a key role in the team’s success.
According to a recent article in Business F1, Steiner is considering filing a lawsuit against Gene for $900 million. He believes that he is owed this money because he has not been properly compensated for his work at Haas. Steiner has also said that he is upset with Gene’s management style and that he no longer feels like he is part of the team.
It remains to be seen whether Steiner will actually file a lawsuit against Gene. However, his comments suggest that he is serious about his grievances. If he does sue, it could be a major setback for Haas F1.
Haas made F1 debut in 2016

Haas has had a mixed career in Formula One. The team has achieved some success, finishing fifth in the constructors’ championship in 2018. However, the team has also struggled, finishing last in the constructors’ championship in 2020 and 2021.
