Soccer players are some of the highest-paid athletes on the planet. They are paid millions upon millions, which often makes them lose sight of how much money can be considered enough.
Harry Kane seems to have joined the list of the highest-paid soccer players since his move to Bayern Munich this summer. As he is now being paid very highly, he has also been spending that highly as well.
Harry Kane racks up £1,000,000 in hotel tab
The England captain has comfortably set up in the Bayern team, and recently even scored a superb hat trick to win the game against Borussia Dortmund. He has managed to score a record 15 goals in his first 10 Bundesliga appearances, which was never done before.
But while he has settled into the team, he and his family are yet to settle into the city. Instead of buying or renting a home, the Kane family is living in an expensive and luxurious Munich hotel named Vier Jahreszeiten Kempinski.
British media The Sun even reports that Harry Kane and his wife, Katie Kane, have been living in an expensive hotel suite worth £10,000 per night. They have already picked up a total tab of £1 million at the hotel since their arrival in Bavaria. It seems aside from racking up goals on the pitch, Harry knows how to rack up bills off it.
The hotel has opened it’s doors since 1958 and is in the middle of the city. It has been the proud host of many celebrities since it’s inception. The suite Kane lives in is said to be in a wing of the hotel that is considered historic. It has a living room, two luxurious marble bathrooms, curtains made of silk, designer furniture, and many other top-class facilities.
Kane and his family are looking for a permanent home to buy so that they can live in comfort during their stay in Munich. However, that is going to take some time, and until then, he will stay at the hotel.
Kane’s Bayern salary, contract details
Harry Kane is not just spending money for no reason, as he now has a bumper new contract. The Englishman had finally left Tottenham this summer for a final fee close to $110 million. He had signed a contract until June 2027, which means he will stay in Germany for four more years.
He has been given a significant pay rise from his Premier League days; whereas at Tottenham he earned around $13.2 million annually, he is now being paid $21 million by his new employers. He is the tenth highest-paid football player on the planet, and it certainly reflects his great performances.
Harry Kane and Bayern Munich will now turn their attention to the Champions League, where they will face Galatasaray at home on Wednesday.
