Whatever the motive of Kai’s decision to keep sharing controversial videos on social media be, it has not gone well with the Hornets. As the NBA Central recently reported, “The charlotte Hornets are ‘aware’ of Kai Jones’ social media posts and will handle the situation internally”, affirmed by Coach Steve Clifford.
Meanwhile, Jones averaged 3.4 points, 2.7 rebounds, and 0.7 blocks per game on 55.8% shooting over 46 games last season. Jones’s great abilities may have been the deciding factor of the Hornets exercising his $3.05 million team option for the 2023 – 2024 season last October.
However, it’s left to be known if the Hornets will still decide to exercise his $4.69 million team option for the 2024 – 2025 season. The fact remains uncertain owing to his questionable social media antics that have received serious attention now.
Kai Jones hilarious social media posts
Kai Jones may be considered a top player in the NBA, but it seems that his bizarre social media posts are really piling up concerns regarding his well-being. This could even put his future with the Hornets in serious doubt.
Charlotte Observer’s Rederick Boone made bold statements about Jones’ situation. He wrote, “Kai Jones’ immediate status with the Charlotte Hornets is a bit murky” And continued saying that “The third-year big man has made some very curious social media posts during the past few weeks, including a couple where he called out some of his teammates.”
Kai Jones’ latest video shows him dancing along to the legendary hit song “Billie Jean” by pop star Michael Jackson. He was seen in the video hopping around on one leg and waving his arms while wearing white sunglasses and holding a basketball. He then took off his sunglasses and continued dancing.
