The impact Tom Brady had on the sport during his stellar career, which lasted an incredible 23 seasons, was immeasurable. There is a resounding consensus among the NFL community as they reflect on his tremendous career that he will go down in football history as one of the greatest players ever.
The NFL community still longs to see the legend play again, and Asante Samuel joined them in asking Brady to return for another spell. In the midst of this, Jimmy Garoppolo imitated the former Patriots player to demonstrate how much of an impact Tom Terrific still has on NFL fields.
Garoppolo imitates Brady’s iconic celebration
Tom Brady and Garoppolo possess a good bond as the former Patriots player spent three years as Brady’s backup in New England after they drafted him to play Tom’s backup role in 2014. After winning two Super Bowl trophies together, Garoppolo was traded to the San Francisco 49ers in 2016, and almost three years later, the 46-year-old landed his ship in Tampa Bay to play for the Bucs.
Though Brady is now out of the NFL field, Jimmy still does not forget his contribution to helping him shape his career as a starter. In the most recent game, where the Las Vegas Raiders prevailed over the Green Bay Packers, commentator Joe Buck said that Garoppolo resembled Tom Brady slightly.
The starter for the Raiders proved his notion as the right one by imitating the three-time MVP’s iconic celebration “Let’s f***ing go” on the Allegiant Stadium on Monday Night. Garoppolo was fortunate to be reunited with his hero Tom Terrific after all these years, albeit in different roles, as the 15-time Pro Bowler this year became a Raiders minority owner.
Asante Samuel urges Patriots to resign Tom Brady
The Patriots have been going through a transitional period since Brady left, seeking to find a worthy replacement for the future Hall of Famer. Despite Bill Belichick’s best efforts to fill his shoes with Mac Jones, he only saw failure in this area.
After the Patriot’s scoreless match against the New Orleans Saints, the NFL analyst Shannon Sharpe dragged the supremacy of Tom Brady with the Patriots. Now, Asante Samuel joined him to issue a request for the retired NFL legend to take on the duties of the Patriots once again.
The former All-Pro player predicted that if the 23-season vet stunned the NFL world by donning the Patriots’s jersey once again, the team would almost certainly win it’s eighth Super Bowl this season.
“I compare this team to the 2015 Super Bowl champions. I see the same exact team — it’s only minus Tom Brady is the difference. And I can see Tom coming and leading this to the Super Bowl.”
Tom Brady himself is apparently adamant this time about his return to the field, claiming he left the field forever with the Bucs and is now vying to have an illustrious career in business and passing good times with his children.
