Every year, a bunch of talented college stars find a home on the national teams of the NFL. Nevertheless, in spite of being a top talent, many of them can not get the opportunity to reach that level to claim their draft, and Se’Mauri Norris-Johnson ended up being among those unfortunates.
Before his dream of playing in the NFL came true, Desert Pines High School’s star player found himself the victim of a serious incident, leaving the world for good.
How did Se’Mauri Norris-Johnson die?
According to a report by the Daily Mail, Se’Mauri Norris-Johnson was enjoying his time with his friends at a Halloween party in Las Vegas, Nevada on Tuesday.
Two young men attending trick-or-treating were approached by a group of teenagers who got out of a car. They were all donning masks of the sky. Unexpectedly, one of the trick-or-treaters proceeded to engage in shooting and shot a fire at Johsnon.
The incident was informed to police and soon after their arrival, they announced that the 17-year-old already embraced death.
The demise of a rising star at such a young age shocked the whole football world. Johnson’s school conveyed their condolences over the death of their young star.
“Things don’t make sense sometimes. Gone too young but never forgotten. Our love to friends, family and loved ones hurt by this tragedy. Rest in love kid.”
All Americans celebrate Halloween as one of their biggest festivals. Like others, Se’Mauri Norris-Johnson was also planning to have a gala night at the festival but who knew that he would end up losing his life instead. No one has been arrested as of now, and hopefully, the police will do justice to the victim’s family.

Se’Mauri played at linebacker and defensive back on the defensive side of the ball for Desert Pines Varsity Football. The young star was lauded both for his football skills and academic achievements as an honor-roll student. He ranks in the top 46 in Nevada for 1 stat while being in the top 23 in Division 5A for 1 stat. He also topped 8 in 5A Division I for 1 stat.
In 2023-24, the LB recorded 51 solo tackles, and 62 total tackles while averaging 6.9 tackles per game. He also recorded 5 sacks for an average of 0.6 sacks per game throughout nine games. In his lOct. 26tch on Oct.26, the 17-year-old recorded 8 solo tackles, 10 total tackles, and 1 sack.
