The Philadelphia Eagles are becoming more adept at flying as each week goes by, and they are extending their winning streak. While Week 9 honored them as the only team in the NFL sitting at 8-1, the team also suffered a loss by losing Dallas Goedart to injury.
During Sunday’s narrow 28-23 home win over the Dallas Cowboys, the tight end concluded the game by adding concerns for the Eagles’ offense for the upcoming days.
Dallas Goedart heads to injury reserves
The night, which came as a painful memory for the Cowboys’ hero Dak Prescot, left its bad mark for the Eagles as well when Dallas Goedart embraced a right firearm injury with 2:54 to play in the third quarter, as per SI.com.
Goedart was forced to exit the game early when Cowboys rookie Markquese Bell pulled him down by his arm while the Eagles were enjoying their control over the Cowboys. It happened after the player for the Eagles attempted to stiff-arm the linebacker following a 28-yard reception.
Although the team hasn’t released any information on his injury, ESPN’s Adam Schefter revealed some information about it on Sunday night. According to his assessment, an MRI on Monday would be necessary to ascertain the extent of the injury sustained by the tight end.
Potential matches to be missed by Goedart
The Philadelphia team is on the bye next week. Luckily, Dallas Goedart’s injury happened at the ideal moment for the squad, giving them more time to decide on Goedert and give their star more time to recover from his horrific injury.
However, it is anticipated that the team will be extra cautious when it comes to his injury condition because they don’t want their tight end to play hurt and miss more games. He is therefore expected to be sidelined for the duration of the diagnosis. The experienced player is reportedly already being evaluated as an injured reserve candidate, according to Schefter, even though the results of the MRI are still pending.
“Eagles’ TE Dallas Goedert has a fracture in his forearm and will undergo an MRI on Monday to determine if there is any further damage, as well, per sources. Either way, Goedert is set to miss time and is an injured reserve candidate,’ the report read.
Hence, perhaps the notion of missing the offensive hero in their upcoming game vs. the Miami Dolphins in Week 10 is going to be true.
Hopefully the Eagles winning streak will not fall and Dallas Goedart can join the team soon, bouncing back with a full recovery from injury.
