The financial earnings propelled him far ahead of the British star, Lewis Hamilton, whose total earnings amounted to $55 million in total. The earning gap was even more visible when compared to the third-highest earner, Fernando Alonso.
The simple correlation between Verstappen’s skill on the track and his earnings was quite visible. His 2023 earnings saw a significant increase from the previous year, surpassing Hamilton by $5 million. In 2022, Red Bull secured Verstappen’s services with a five-year extension, reportedly valued at $55 million per year.

According to the Dutch media, it is reported that Sergio Perez may incur a loss of his financial earnings due to his unimpressive performance on the grid this season, with ongoing speculations about his replacement in the team.
As per De Telegraaf, Perez’s contract is allowed for adjustments, and this could come into play if he is at least 125 points behind his teammate and the dominant force of the industry, Max Verstappen, by the time Formula One’s summer break arrives.
Perez is reported to have a basic salary of $10 million per year with Red Bull. The conditions of Checo’s contract is directly related with his adaptability to match his teammate’s performance However, if there is a huge performance gap between the two Red Bull drivers on the grid further into the season, it could trigger a reduction in the earnings of the Mexican driver.
