It was not long ago that Real Madrid manager confirmed Vinicius Jr. was back from injury ahead of a crucial derby match against Atletico Madrid, and now it appears he will be set aside once again, following a suspected leg injury sustained during Brazil’s clash with Colombia.
How serious is Vinicius Jr’s injury?
Vinicius Jr., the Real Madrid winger, had to exit Brazil’s World Cup qualifier against Colombia after just 26 minutes. He went down in the first half, seemingly indicating an issue with the upper part of his left leg. Vinicius was promptly substituted, with Joao Pedro taking his place in the match.
Vinicius expressed his concerns after the game, revealing that he fears having suffered the same injury that sidelined him for a month earlier in the season. He mentioned taking a hit during the match, and the discomfort increased later.
“I think it’s the same injury as last time. I took a hit there and it hurt a little later. Tomorrow we will do tests to see how I go,” Vinicius said. However, Tests are planned for the following day to assess the extent of the injury and determine the course of action.
