Seth Freakin Rollins, has been a Champion since he won the WWE World Heavyweight Championship last year. Unlike, Roman Reigns, Rollins never misses an opportunity to defend his title in all the WWE events. However, Rollins’ momentum came to a halt on January 15, 2024, when he suffered a serious knee injury during his title defense against Jinder Mahal on Raw.
Rollins’ appearance at WrestleMania is still in doubt. Recently, WWE fans expressed their frustration and sadness on social media after hearing another shocking piece of news.
Seth Rollins reportedly gets axed by Marvel
Last year, Seth Rollins confirmed his involvement in the Captain America: Brave New World, the fourth movie in the Captain America franchise. In an interview with WWE.com, Rollins confirmed his debut to the hollywood industry and released short clips from the shooting spot.
Later Marvel Studios, officially announced that Rollins will be playing the role of King Cobra, a villain from the Marvel comics, who is part of the Serpent Society, a group of snake-themed criminals.
According to CanWeGetSomeToast, a Marvel insider, the Serpent Society was completely removed from the movie as part of the ongoing reshoots. The reports claimed that the Serpent Society’s scenes were the first major action piece in the movie, featuring Captain America, Falcon, and Isaiah Bradley, another super-soldier from the comics.
The fans were shocked to hear this news, as the shooting for Rollins’ part in the movie was almost completed, and it was ready for post-production works. The reason for the removal of the Serpent Society is not clear, but it could be due to creative changes or scheduling conflicts.
Rollins’ removal from the movie is unfortunate news for both him and his fans. He had the opportunity to join the Marvel Cinematic Universe; however, his role was scrapped due to unknown reasons, leaving him and his fans disappointed.
Seth Rollins racing against time for WrestleMania 40 spot
Seth Rollins, the workhorse of WWE, is not in a good condition after he suffered a Grade 2 tear of his MCL and meniscus in left knee. Rollins’ injury has now possibly created a question for his availability in the WrestleMania 40.
‘The Architect’ announced that he would need surgery and that his recovery time could be anywhere from three to four months. However, he is not ready to give up on his title or his dream match. He has shown determination and resilience, as he has refused to undergo surgery and opted for intense rehabilitation instead.
The Grandslam champion made his presence to the Tropicana Field in Florida, last Saturday to watch the 30 men Royal Rumble match. He also appeared on today’s RAW episode and confronted the Royal Rumble winner, Cody Rhodes, to choose him as the opponent for WrestleMania.
With only 3 months left for WresleMania 40, WWE is in full swing doing the promotions all accross the world. Still no matches are offically announced for the event, Rollins is in full confident that he will be in the match card and defend the title in front of millions of WWE fans.
