Is CM Punk set to miss AEW All Out? Reviewing the aftermath of reported backstage altercation at AEW All In

For the majority of his time in AEW, CM Punk has been making headlines, all for the wrong reason. He has been involved in multiple controversies with AEW over the last few years, with him even bashing the company for few of their decisions last year. He has also been suspended before for a backstage fight, an incident which he reportedly repeated at AEW’s All In event few days ago.

At AEW’s latest pay-per-view All In this Sunday, CM Punk and Jack Perry were reportedly involved in a physical altercation backstage. It should be noted that this is the second time that Punk  has been involved in a fight backstage. Since then, there have been multiple reports regarding the matter, with some sources claiming Perry to be the instigator, while others claim that Punk started the altercation. Needless to say, this incident has left Punk’s future in the company up in the air.

CM Punk to face suspension ruling him out of AEW All Out

Following the altercation between CM Punk and Jack Perry at All In this Sunday, it was initially reported by Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful that it was actually Jack Perry who started the verbal exchange between him and Punk. Apparently, Perry had shouted “it’s real glass, cry me a river” to Punk, which led to their fight. However, this report was then proved to be incorrect by AEW star Miro. Later, more reports suggested that it was actually CM Punk who instigated their verbal exchange, which eventually led to Perry telling Punk to “do something about it”. This led to Punk pushing Perry, and then eventually locking him in a chokehold to deescalate the situation.

It was also reported that there were no punches thrown. Also, CM Punk did his match with Samoa Joe afterwards, as it was originally scheduled. Following the match, he was escorted by security to backstage. Although it was said that Punk decided to leave the arena altogether, after it was decided that it would be the best option for him at that moment. Later, it was being reported that since the altercation, the incident is currently under investigation, with both superstars being suspended for the time being, which would rule them out of participating at AEW’s All Out event.

Tony Khan also addressed the whole situation. Although he did confirm that a fight did take place that night, he didn’t go into much details. Khan said that he won’t be discussing much about the incident as it was currently under investigation.

CM punk left stranded by AEW at airport

It’s no surprise that CM Punk seemingly has issues with AEW at this point, after a number of controversies between them. However, AEW has now taken things to a whole another level by completely deserting Punk at an airport.

CM Punk was scheduled to face Samoa Joe at AEW’s All In event that took place this Sunday. When he arrived at Heathrow Airport, there was no vehicle present from AEW to take him to the hotel. In fact, there was no one from AEW at the airport for him. Apparently, the company had provided him with the contact details of the assigned driver. But when Punk tried to send a text to the driver, it bounced back. This prompted Punk to reach the hotel on his own by taking a train. However, he got lost on his way. Thankfully, he was helped by some of his fans and was able to reach the hotel.

This was a major disrespect shown to the superstar by AEW. Some reports might suggest that this was the company’s attempt to drive him out and go back to WWE. This incident definitely soured the relationship between AEW and CM Punk more, who’s own future in the company is in the air after his backstage altercation with Jack Perry. Stay tuned to get further updates on the situation.
