JD McDonagh, the former Cruiserweight Champion in NXT UK, joined the heel faction, The Judgement Day in the Monday Night RAW episode. It happened after he got approval of the Senor Money in The Bank, Damien Priest.
Following his match against R Truth, McDonagh was forced to quit Judgement Day. However, he continues to assert his affiliation with the group. Recently, Finn Balor, who is one-half of the Undisputed Tag Team Champions and a member of Judgement Day, provided some insights about McDonagh’s role within the group.
Is JD McDonagh out of Judgment Day?
On the December 18 edition of Monday Night RAW, R Truth, a participant in the Survivor Series, issued a challenge to JD McDonagh for a “Miracle on 34th Street Fight.” Truth proposed an idea to add excitement, suggesting that the loser should be required to depart from Judgement Day. The match was great, and McDonagh’s performance was outstanding.
When McDonagh was trying to powerslam Truth from the top rope, both fell on the table accidentally, and Truth pinned McDonagh. The members of Judgement Day were around the ringside and were in absolute shock to see Truth win. After the match, Luca Crusifino sent a legal notice to the WWE regarding the result of the match.
Crusifino claimed that the match result was illegal and asked the WWE to change the decision and add McDonagh back to Judgement Day. WWE has not released any official statement regarding this, and the status of McDonagh on Judgement Day remains unclear.
R-Truth keeps pushing for his spot in the Judgment Day at McDonagh’s expense
As an answer to the drama, Finn Balor posted a photo of Judgement Day on the backstage of the WWE locker room. The photo featured Balor, Priest, WWE Women’s Champion Rhea Ripley and Dominik Mysterio. Along with them was R Truth who was peeking into the locker room with a confused reaction.
Balor added, “The only reason @jd_mcdonagh ain’t here is cos he didn’t have paperwork to travel to Canada.. the lucky SOB”. McDonagh also made his reaction to the photo by commenting, “@dominik_35 ain’t the only one with priors”.
R-Truth has a huge fan base for his humor and known for many funny segments in WWE throughout his entire career. The fans are really happy to see Truth back, and fans love Truth to be a part of Judgement Day.
McDonagh has not seen WWE since his loss to Truth. McDonagh is expected to return to WWE as the Judgement Day member in the upcoming special episode of Monday Night RAW, Day 1.
