Max Verstappen has enjoyed an absolutely dominant and fantastic time at Red Bull. The Dutch driver is only 26 years old, but he has achieved so much in such a short amount of time that it is almost a mirror image of Sebastian Vettel and his glorious era with Red Bull.

Max Verstappen was earlier set to become a free driver in 2024, ending a long-standing contract with Red Bull. There were massive speculations about his future and which team would the Red Bull driver choose. Many people even believed that Max Verstappen may chose to leave Red Bull in favor of historically great teams like Ferrari.
There was a lot of excitement in the paddock, with everyone wondering where Max would go in 2024. Red Bull swiftly provided an answer in a remarkable way because they didn’t want to lose their top driver so soon. They offered Max Verstappen an incredible contract extension, and he agreed without hesitation. Max Verstappen is now committed to Red Bull until 2028, earning nearly $2.4 million per race, which makes him one of the highest-paid athletes.
Max Verstappen speaks about possible future with Ferrari
Drivers on the grid typically have obligations to fulfill their contracts with their current teams, but sometimes, they aspire to join a specific team for personal reasons. An excellent example of this is Sebastian Vettel, the former Red Bull driver, who joined Ferrari in 2015. It seems like even Max Verstappen is attracted to becoming a driver in the Scarlet outfit and he hinted towards this while talking about his future plans.
“Ferrari has an incredible history in this sport and is a formidable opponent to compete against. Future at Ferrari? When my current contract expires, I will be 31, and I think I can still do well,” the 26 year old champion claimed in front of the media speculating about changing teams and dropping us major hints about which team we should look forward to.
