Jones had a bit of a lighter workload during his recent practice sessions, although he didn’t hold back when it came to participating in all the running back drills. Despite dealing with a nagging hamstring issue that he picked up back in week 1, he assured everyone that he’d be good to go for the week 9 matchup against the Los Angeles Rams, and what’s more, it’s happening on their home turf.

Matt LaFleur, the head coach of the Packers, provided some insight into the decision to limit Jones’ practice time. He explained that it was all part of a strategy to help him manage his load and ease back into the groove. Looking ahead to Friday, the head coach was enthusiastic, stating that the team is all set to let Jones loose and give it their all in the upcoming game.

“He did a great job. We did that (red uniform) for his own protection, making sure that people wouldn’t knock him over and anything like that. He looked good. Had a good week. Got a great attitude. Ready to cut him loose.”

After sustaining the injury in week 1, Aaron had been a regular participant on the injury report all season. He missed the Packers’ week 2 and week 3 games due to the setback. The RB was able to resume play in week 4 but got ruled out in week 5. He again returned to action in week 7 and week 8. If the Packers star somehow misses the week 9 campaign against the Rams, AJ Dillon will do the job as the starting running back.

Packers vs Rams NFL Week 9 injury report

The Rams placed a total of 12 players on their injury report. Quarterback Matthew Stafford (right thumb), offensive lineman Rob Havenstein (calf), wide receiver Puka Nacua (knee), defensive tackle Larrell Murchison (knee), and defensive back Cobie Durant (shoulder) are questionable for Sunday. Linebacker Earnest Jones (knee), and tight end Hunter Long (hamstring) have been ruled out for Sunday’s game, via The Rams.com.

Wide receiver Austin Trammell (hip), punter Ethan Evans (ankle), and wide receiver Ben Skowronek (achilles) had full participation in practice. Defensive tackle Aaron Donald (rest), and offensive lineman Brian Allen (rest) didn’t participate in practice. The game status of these five players is yet to be updated.
