Sergio Ramos has been considered one of the game’s greatest defenders for the last twenty years, and rightly so. The Spaniard embodies every quality a defender should have: grit, wit, gut, and ball-playing abilities. As a result, the 37-year-old is attracting interest from the MLS and Saudi clubs.
For a player whose prime was filled with high-flying tackles, red cards, and bullet headers, it is understandable how injury has hampered the latter stages of Ramos’ career. Injuries limited the defender to just 13 appearances in his first season at PSG, and with no luck in his second, he was consequently released.
Sergio Ramos is currently waiting for an offer from Inter Miami
Inter Miami has the most active MLS club in this transfer market, building a team of former Barcelona players: Lionel Messi, Sergio Busquets, and Jordi Alba. The Florida-based club is gearing up for a new era of football, the one they’re helping to create, and it’s a good thing to witness. On Messi’s debut, the seven-time Ballon d’Or winner scored a last-minute freekick with the likes of LeBron James and Kim Kardashian in attendance.

Inter Miami also tried to bring Luis Suarez to the MLS to play alongside his friends, but the deal fell through as an agreement couldn’t be reached with Gremio, where the Uruguayan currently plays. Inter Miami’s newest signing may be Sergio Ramos, as the veteran defender has been without a club since his PSG contract expired in June. According to Soccer Times, the 37-year-old is reportedly waiting for Inter Miami to make him an offer. He would love to play in the MLS and play alongside Lionel Messi again after the pair played together at PSG.
Sergio Ramos is free agent and his decision might affect Cristiano Ronaldo friendship
Sergio Ramos is close friends with Cristiano Ronaldo, who played together for nine years at Real Madrid. With Ramos’ willingness to join Lionel Messi and other former Barcelona players at Inter Miami, many fear his friendship with Ronaldo may be at stake, but that’s not the case.
Ronaldo’s friendship with Ramos has never affected the career decisions of each party. In 2018, Cristiano Ronaldo signed for Juventus, leaving Sergio Ramos and his best friend, Marcelo, at Real Madrid. Their careers have taken different paths since then, and if anything, Ronaldo would love for Sergio Ramos to be happy wherever he decides to play. Ironically, PSG signed Messi and Ramos in the same transfer window, and there were never reports of a rift between Ronaldo and Ramos for the latter’s decision.
Will Sergio Ramos join Inter Miami this summer?
