The documentary won the 2023 Documentary of the Year award in New Zealand, and Adesanya tweeted out the result, expressing his happiness. The documentary, which celebrated the life of the fighter, presented an in-depth look into the life of the former long-reigning UFC middleweight champion.

Adesanya, born in Nigeria, migrated to New Zealand, and the documentary beautifully depicted the journey from a nerdy kid to an accomplished Kickboxer and MMA fighter.
