Israel Adesanya recently announced his comeback from his self-imposed hiatus. Dricus du Plessis called out Adesanya for the UFC 300 headliner in his post-fight speech at UFC 297 where he claimed the title from Sean Strickland.
Despite Joe Rogan’s absence from the commentary booth at UFC 293, his recent podcast comments about Israel Adesanya have drawn the attention of the fighter, showing the close relationship they share, particularly evident in Adesanya’s past defense of Rogan when the woke mob tried to cancel Rogan.

The Joe Rogan Experience, one of the most popular podcasts in the world, recently featured Bert Kreischer and Tom Segura as guests. All three had nothing but praise for Israel Adesanya, which didn’t escape the attention of the Nigerian-born Kiwi. “He’s one of my favorite people, he’s an extraordinary human being,” Rogan said of Adesanya. “He’s the M*therf*cker”, added Kreischer.
It did not take long for Adesanya to show gratitude, as he took it to X to do it. “I’ve learned that people will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel.” 😊Each one is a real one!! @bertkreischer @seguratom @joerogan Thank you ✨💕”, tweeted Adesanya with pictures of him with the aforementioned comedians.
Even though Adesanya was not fighting, he was on the news as he was seen inside a court concerning his drunken driving charge. The Last Stylebender got a favorable verdict from the court but had his license suspended for 6 months.
Adesanya was recently seen with Eugene Bareman at City Kickboxing, putting an end to his self-imposed hiatus. However, he clarified in an interview that he is nursing an injury and can only start training camp by the end of February 2024.

Comedian Bert Kreischer’s visit to New Zealand took a hilarious turn when he joined his close friend, UFC fighter Israel Adesanya, for a night out at a bar. Fueled by good times and perhaps a few too many drinks, Kreischer unleashed his signature move—going topless!
After they’d had a lot to drink, the comedian and the fighter stood back to back. They even challenged everyone in the bar to a fight. But with no takers, Adesanya and Kreischer left the bar.
Kreischer revealed the incident in one of his appearances on the Joe Rogan Experience in early 2023. He also had a recent appearance on JRE and only had very good things to say about the former undisputed UFC middleweight champion.
UFC middleweight champion Dricus du Plessis wants to headline UFC 300 against Adesanya and it is not very certain that Adesanya could make it. Nonetheless, Adesanya has expressed his interest in fighting Du Plessis via social media.
