“It’s all ready to go”: Andrea Stella predicts Lando Norris’ career trajectory to match the likes of Michael Schumacher, Kimi Raikkonen

Lando Norris has emerged as one of Formula One’s most highlighted and talented drivers, showcasing remarkable improvement in his racing performance over the past season. The British driver has consistently impressed on the paddock, repeatedly challenging Max Verstappen and making McLaren exceptionally proud.

Several Formula One experts have acknowledged and praised his efforts, including recent commendations from Andrea Stella in an interview.

Andrea Stella backs Lando Norris to achieve greatness

McLaren has signed an exclusive extension contract with the British driver, Lando Norris, admiring his racing talents while racing with his strongest rivals. Norris had faced a major turning point last season after their updates were profusely introduced in Austin. Soon after, he adapted great pace on the tracks regardless of the weather conditions of every Grand Prix and paved his way to the sixth position in the Drivers Standings, a triumph that before seemed impossible to achieve for the Wokings-based team.

The team’s team principal, Andrea Stella, upon witnessing the vast transformation of the Briton, has made a bold claim by saying that in the future, anyone is poised to break barriers with Red Bull’s Lando Norris.

He said, “Lando is definitely on a par with the top drivers in Formula 1. He falls into the same category.”

“The same kind of world champion material, the underlying talent, the mindset, the work ethic. It’s all there.

Norris believes in McLaren’s potential to challenge in 2024

On the other side, Lando Norris expressed significant optimism about the team’s overall improvement during the 2024 season. He believes that McLaren is on “the right track,” although it has “plenty more” to progress to fully brace themselves to defeat the ultimate team, Red Bull, this very season.

Currently, with their strongest rivals being Ferrari, Mercedes, and Red Bull, the British driver claims that if the introduction of the major updates implied on their new car is feasible, the entire season will be a thrilling one to be witnessed by the F1 enthusiasts.

“If we had just started the season how we were in the middle [of 2023 with the upgrades], we would be P2 in the constructors’ and P2 in the drivers’ championship.

“I know it doesn’t always work like that. But we’re on the right track. That’s what I’m trying to say.

“We’ve learned already over the last four or five, six months. From the progress we’ve made, we’ve learned a lot. I’m excited because we’re finally on the right track and we know which direction to push.”
