“I’ve been wanting to punch this kid in the face”: CM Punk makes his feelings for Dominik Mysterio crystal clear ahead of his first match since WWE return

Last night, WWE Superstar CM Punk appeared as a commentator for the Cage Fury Fighting Championships. Interestingly, this happened at the same time when WWE’s Friday Night SmackDown was airing.

While commentating, Punk and his co-commentator, John Morgan, hinted at his ongoing rivalries in the WWE with the present best performers in the promotion. Morgan was trying to get Punk’s opinion about Seth Rollins. Instead, the Second City Saint talked about his upcoming live event fight against Judgment Day’s Dominik Mysterio.

CM Punk makes his feelings about Dominik clear

CM Punk made a huge comeback to WWE at Survivor Series last month and has since been a major draw for the fans. He is all set to face Dominik Mysterio this month and has expressed his excitement to destroy him.

Since his return, CM Punk has appeared on Monday Night Raw, Friday Night SmackDown, and NXT Deadline, making it clear that he is a major asset for the company. Recently, CM Punk confirmed that he will be a part of Monday Night Raw in the future and will also compete in the Royal Rumble match next year.

The Second City Saint has two upcoming wrestling matches against Dominik Mysterio as part of WWE’s Live Holiday Tour. The first match will take place on Tuesday, December 26th, at Madison Square Garden, and the second on December 30th at Los Angeles’ KIA Forum.

Punk made a notable appearance at the Cage Fury Fighting Championships 128 event, where he revealed that he has been granted permission by WWE to work there. Punk is eagerly looking forward to facing Dominik Mysterio in the ring now that he is of legal age. Punk has expressed his determination to give a strong performance against him.

“Watch me beat up ‘Dirty’ Dominik. I’ve been wanting to punch this kid in the face since he was eight years old. Now he’s legal, and I’m gonna destroy him,” said CM Punk.

CM Punk on his WWE return

Last month, CM Punk made a grand return to WWE at the Survivor Series WarGames 2023 event, which was warmly welcomed by the WWE Universe. Even before his huge return, fans had been chanting his name for years during various shows in Chicago and other cities. Despite his absence from WWE for nearly a decade, fans across arenas continued to show their vocal support for Punk.

During an Instagram Live session for “Elite Comics and Kulture City,” CM Punk revealed that his potential return to WWE is not driven by personal motives. He mentioned that it is more about the fans who have been chanting his name for the past decade.

“This isn’t about me; this is about us. This is about everybody that is behind me. That for ten years didn’t forget, chanted my name. I’m going to put the boots back on for all of ya’ll. We’re going to go on this journey together.” said CM Punk.
