The March 15 episode of WWE Friday Night SmackDown was electrifying, as The Great One made a memorable return. With his iconic theme music filling the arena, The Rock shared heartfelt sentiments about Memphis, Tennessee.
In anticipation of the upcoming tag team match at WrestleMania 40, The Rock has been taking every opportunity to mock his opponents, Cody Rhodes and Seth Rollins. He continued his antics on the latest episode of WWE SmackDown by even mentioning Ja Morant just to taunt Rollins.
The Rock takes subtle jabs at Ja Morant in Memphis
The Rock is considered one of the best professional wrestlers when it comes to speaking on a microphone, and he has a reputation for verbally attacking his opponents. During the recent episode of WWE Smackdown, The Great One held a concert in Memphis where he mocked several WWE wrestlers, including Ja Morant. While taking a jab at Seth Rollins, The Rock also remarked on Ja Morant.
“Cackling and dancing is all that you do. No wonder that your wife’s more popular than you. You’re so damn desperate to make them all cheer, but The Rock is going to make that title, disappear. You’re simply an embarrassment, son. Just like Ja Morant when he’s waving a gun. I love you Ja! Get better soon!” said The Rock.
It’s important to note that The Rock is currently portraying a villainous character and has no ill intentions toward Ja Morant. He is simply trying to stir up the city of Memphis. He even broke character and added “I love you Ja” at the end of his remarks.
WWE legend gives The Rock great praise
After The Rock’s opening segment on WWE SmackDown, WWE Hall of Famer Ric Flair wrote a tweet on Twitter praising him for being the most entertaining person in the entire wrestling business. Flair said that he would pale in comparison to The People’s Champ. He thanked him for their friendship and respect and said that The Great One is the man.
“My Friend @TheRock, You Are The Most Entertaining Motherfcker In The Entire History Of The Wrestling Business And I’ve Seen Them All, Including Myself, But I Pale In Comparison! I’m So Thankful For Our Friendship & Respect. God Bless You! You Are The Fcking Man! WOOOOO!” wrote Ric Flair on Twitter.
Although The Great One has received criticism from the WWE Universe ever since he declared his rivalry against The American Nightmare Cody Rhodes, there are a few veteran WWE performers, like Ric Flair, who support his decision.
