Despite fans waiting for her debut for the last two months, Cargill has not had her first match. This has left many fans wondering when they will finally see her in action. However, Cargill has recently provided an update and reassured fans that her debut will be worth the wait.
Jade Cargill addresses her debut delay
On September 26, 2023, WWE officially announced that they had signed Jade Cargill. As the year 2023 comes to an end, fans are eagerly waiting to see Cargill on WWE TV and are curious about which brand she might be on. Jade, a promising talent in the professional wrestling industry, has garnered a lot of attention owing to her impressive physique, captivating personality, and her previous championship win in AEW.
Cargill held the TBS Championship for an impressive 508 days in AEW and also maintained an undefeated streak with over 60 wins in a row. Ever since joining WWE, Cargill has been prominently featured on major television shows such as Raw, Smackdown, and NXT. She has had backstage interactions with top wrestlers like Charlotte Flair and Becky Lynch and has also been spotted attending NXT matches.
In a recent interview with “The Dallas Morning News,” Jade Cargill suggested fans to be patient about seeing her. She assured fans that the wait would be worth it, as WWE is preparing something precious like a diamond as a storyline for her debut.
“So, you want me to reveal what we have in the works? It seems like [laughs]. So, listen, I think the fan base should be patient. I think they need to understand we’re making a diamond. We’re creating something that’s going to be a legacy. We’re creating something that will create echoes and waves throughout not just wrestling culture but pop culture and beyond. They’re setting me up for success; you shouldn’t rush success,” said Jade Cargill.
Jade Cargill links up with Nelly
Former AEW superstar Jade Cargill signed a contract with WWE a few months ago, but she has not made her official debut yet. Despite this, she has been seen representing the Stamford-based promotion in public like a reigning champion. Currently, she is training at the WWE Performance Center, putting in a lot of effort to prepare for her highly anticipated in-ring debut with the aim of providing a spectacular performance in her first fight.
Although she has made appearances on Raw, SmackDown, and NXT, WWE has not yet announced which brand she will be associated with in the long run. At the Big 12 Conference Championship football game, Jade Cargill presented a WWE Championship belt to Nelly, a moment captured in a full video uploaded by WWE on their official Instagram platform. Nelly was appreciative of the commemorative title belt.
During Nelly’s halftime performance, Jade Cargill and WWE announcer Samantha Irvin were in high spirits, and WWE captured their enthusiastic dancing and singing on their Instagram stories. The Big 12 Conference Championship game collaborated with WWE for the 2023 event, and a custom-made championship title belt was designated for the Most Outstanding Player of the Game.
The title went to Quinn Ewers, the Texas Longhorns quarterback, who had an exceptional performance by throwing four touchdowns during the game. To add to the grandeur of the occasion, WWE Hall of Famer The Undertaker appeared at the event to present the championship title to Ewers.
