Fans have been talking about Jade Cargill’s impending main roster debut ever since she joined WWE last year. Despite coming up short in the Royal Rumble, her effort was highly acclaimed. However, when a deleted post caused suspicions of conflict with Zelina Vega, she was once again in the limelight.
Jade’s recent appearance in a Super Bowl ad for Mountain Dew demonstrates her meteoric rise to fame since joining the brand. But Cargill removed her earlier remark on Twitter after an accidental online altercation with Zelina Vega.
Jade Cargill and Zelina Vega feud explained
After making a splash with her WWE debut last year, Jade Cargill has been a mainstay on RAW, SmackDown, and NXT ever since. Her star power was highlighted in an advertisement for Mountain Dew that aired during the Super Bowl.
However, there have been whispers of friction between the two wrestlers after a fun Twitter conversation with Zelina Vega. The snowball began rolling when Vega made a playful remark about how much she resembled Cargill in the advertisement.
Cargill answered in a lighthearted manner, highlighting her one-of-a-kind flair, and advised Vega to avoid making statements of a similar kind in the future. Cargill stressed that it was all in good fun and removed her post after receiving concern from a few of her followers over her answer.
Cargill subsequently assured supporters that there was no genuine hatred between them, and Vega followed suit after deleting her message. She told her supporters to chill and that the whole thing was just supposed to be playful fun.
What is next for Jade Cargill after defeat at WWE Royal Rumble?
Jade Cargill has only had one wrestling match since joining WWE in September 2023. She debuted in the women’s Royal Rumble match, where she made a stunning entrance at number 28 and eliminated three Superstars before being eliminated by Liv Morgan.
The audience went wild for her, particularly during her confrontation with Bianca Belair. Cargill has kept everyone excited despite the sluggish pace of her WWE career. Her first major storyline and potential involvement at WrestleMania 40 are topics of much speculation.
While RAW and SmackDown both have formidable rosters, SmackDown suffered a setback when champion Charlotte Flair was sidelined by an injury. If Cargill steps in to fill the gap, Bianca Belair and herself may face off at WrestleMania.
Even though Cargill has hinted at a fight with Nia Jax on RAW, rumors have claimed that she would join the SmackDown brand in the buildup to WrestleMania 40. When questioned about her brand choice and plans for WrestleMania, Cargill played tease by claiming fans would just have to wait for things to happen.
