By waiting for Jefferson’s deal to set a benchmark, Chase aims to ensure his extension aligns with market value.

Currently operating on a four-year, $30.8 million contract expiring in 2024, the receiver’s performance warrants consideration for a lucrative extension. The Bengals, with an effective salary cap of $53,189,822 in 2024, will face decisions on both Burrow’s extension and a potential one for Chase.

Ja’Marr Chase claims CJ Stroud wants to play at Bengals

During Sunday’s Pro Bowl event, Ja’Marr Chase and CJ Stroud connected for a touchdown. Following the TD, the Bengals WR couldn’t help but acknowledge the potential of their dynamic partnership.

With a grin, Chase voiced his belief that Stroud might have a desire to join forces once again, stating, “CJ I know you wanna come play with me brother, Come On!”

Stroud has been a standout rookie quarterback of the 2023 season.
