Jason Kelce’s $6 million masterplan comes to light following multi-million Eagles contract snub

Jason Kelce has arguably been one of the most imposing defensive presences in the last decade. Over his entire career, his towering physique and impeccable game awareness have led him to become one of the most sought-after defensive prospects of all time.

However, all that has now come to an end as Kelce has decided to hang up his boots and retire as a Philadelphia Eagles legend. The legacy he has created in the league will surely stand the test of time and inspire many athletes in the future. And now, the 36-year-old is looking to create a legacy in real estate.

Jason Kelce’s $6 million mansion plan

As it turns out, during his blistering career with the Philadelphia Eagles, Jason Kelce was also future-proofing his post-retirement plans by buying properties on the outskirts of Philly.

This ex-NFL player made the first purchase in 2018, when he spent $680k to acquire the first property, which constituted more than one acre. The same person added an eight-acre piece of land next door for $4 million two years later, in 2020. This pattern continued through 2023, with the third plot being bought at $1.35 million.

Sources familiar with the transaction have told us that Jason Kelce still has big plans for himself. Reportedly, Kelce intends to merge these three properties into one vast luxury estate, as envisaged by him since time immemorial.

Kelce reportedly turned down $9 million contract from Eagles

According to sources, the Philadelphia Eagles administration offered a $9 million deal, hoping Kelce would be tempted to play for a 14th year. However, it is believed that the seven-time Pro Bowl pick decided to move on to the next chapter of his life and spend more time with his family.

According to The Mirror, a source close to Jason Kelce said: “Jason is a passionate guy, he loves football so much and he went through a lot of things in the last few weeks of the season and when the Eagles season ended. He knows that he wasn’t getting younger, and seeing his brother winning another Super Bowl had him rethink maybe going back to play another season.

“But he took the best decision as he feels that he needed to stop his career. He loves Philly, the franchise, but he also wants to spend more time with his family and start another career in his life, which he knows is going to be very exciting.”
