JD McDonagh accuses Rhea Ripley of engaging in “body shaming” amidst social media trolling by WWE Women’s Champ

JD McDonagh has been trying relentlessly to get on Judgment Day’s good side and get into their faction eventually. However, he is facing several obstacles in his path to becoming a part of the team, with the most recent one being Cody Rhodes and Rhea Ripley poking fun at the size of his head.

The former NXT star has been trying to gain the trust of Judgment Day for a long time. Although he is a close friend of fellow Irishman Finn Balor, the rest of the group doesn’t really think much of him. Rhea Ripley has gone on record to state that she doesn’t fully trust or like him yet.

JD McDonagh calls out Rhea Ripley

A few weeks ago, Cody Rhodes was involved in a segment with JD McDonagh, where he poked fun at the size of the latter’s head. He remarked that McDonagh should be the first person to get a Funko Pop figure, which is typically known for the large size of their head.

Since then, fans have taken to X to share a picture of McDonagh with a Funko Pop Head on top in place of his head. Obviously, he was not amused and demanded to know who made the pictures. This was when Judgment Day member Rhea Ripley joined in and called those pictures ‘Art’.

This further enraged JD McDonagh, who accused the Women’s World Champion of ‘body-shaming’ him and poking fun at him. This was a fun back-and-forth between the stars. It looks like fans have been taking The American Nightmare’s remarks a bit too seriously lately, as some fans recently made a fanart of Jey Uso hugging Rhea Ripley as a response to Cody’s remarks that Ripley may have taken an interest in Uso lately.

JD McDonagh’s relationship with Judgment Day members

As mentioned before, JD McDonagh has been trying to earn the trust of the villainous group. From helping Finn Balor and Damian Priest win the Tag Team Championships to gifting Damian Priest a custom-made Money In The Bank briefcase, he is getting closer to becoming a member of Judgment Day.

However, Judgment Day have been reluctant in letting McDonagh into their group. Although he is a close friend of Finn Balor, who also serves as his real-life mentor, he hasn’t been able to establish the same kind of connection with the rest of the group. In an interview, Rhea Ripley talked about JD McDonagh and why they were skeptical about him.

“JD is obviously Finn’s friend. I’ve known him for a while too, just from NXT UK. But The Judgment Day, we’re such a close family, we all have each other’s backs, and we all look out for each other. I just don’t know exactly where he lies with all of that just yet. I don’t fully trust him. I don’t fully like him,” said Rhea Ripley.

It would be interesting to see if Judgment Day do end up taking in JD McDonagh in their stable. Would you like to see him as a part of the villainous group? Sound off in the comments below!
