Jets’ Aaron Rodgers sets record straight on gift box mishap after Zach Wilson’s bold comparison

The New York Jets, struggling with their offense, found themselves in a somewhat advantageous position for a playoff spot. This led them to sign Aaron Rodgers. Unfortunately, this move didn’t bring them luck. The Jets came back to the offensive squad they were in last season soon after Aaron’s injury, leading Zach Wilson to have another season to prove his excellence.

Though he could not join his team on the field, Rodgers never sat rest without supporting his team in the locker room, making his presence in all the games of the Jets soon after getting clearance from the doctors. While every recent appearance by Aaron stirred controversy, his latest appearance in the Jets Week 9 game took his name into the headlines in a different manner.

Rodgers addresses glass-breaking incident after Jets game

The four-time MVP’s appearance in the Jets vs Los Angeles Chargers game created speculations soon after the broadcasting giant ESPN New York shared a video. The video featured A-rod dropping a mysterious box on the sideline prior to the game at MetLife Stadium.

Regretfully, as he was about to go off the turf, the box struck it and broke, releasing a large glass beaker containing an odd beverage.

During his Friday appearance on the Pat McAfee shows, which is serving as his great part-time income source, the 39-year-old validated all the rumors swirling on the air whether or not he brought a bong to the game.

“It was not a bong, first of all,” he started claiming that.

The ten-time Pro bowler then made his fans know that it was nothing but a bottle of tequila that he was gifted by ESPN Deportes sideline reporter John Sutcliffe.

“It was a bottle of tequila [given as a gift] and I lost half of it. I was walking off the field with my Maestro Dobel Tequila that [ESPN Deportes sideline reporter] John Sutcliffe gives me every time he sees me on Monday night football.”

The Jets superstar also unscrambled the incident, making it plain that he dropped the bottle when he went to meet his friend Hugh Coles before leaving the field.

“I see Hugh, give him a hug, dap him up, go to pick it back up, s–t falls out and I lose half my tequila.”

Per PA home page, the clarification of the whole incident came out as soon as his former Green Bay Packers teammate David Bakhtiari called Aaron for it, by posting an X post.

Zach Wilson draws parallels to Aaron Rodgers in comeback buzz

Aaron Rodgers’s contribution to the Jets team knows no bounds, because, in spite of failing to support them on the field, the player imbued a great level of confidence in his teammates’ minds that assisted them in winning three games at a stretch.

However, his season-ending injury paved the way for Wilson, who recently encountered questions about the former Packers player’s footing and his athletic spirit. In response, Wilson had nothing but to admit the legacy of Rodgers on the field with which he spell-bounded the NFL community for almost two decades.

“I don’t have 20 years of experience to do that you know so I definitely think we have things built into our plan where there is built-in ability to change plays,” he replied.

Although there is seemingly little hope for Rodgers’s return in this season, the quarterback shared a cryptic message with a codded-meaning after intending to join the Jets on the field this season.

Let’s hope to see a bounce-back move from the Jet’s highly speculated starter.
