Jets CB Sauce Gardner deletes X account after altercation with fans following humiliating loss to Cowboys in NFL Week 2

The New York Jets player Sauce Gardner, who garnered the attention of the NFL community this season for his extreme love for sauce, expressed confidence that his team might return to the playoffs this year and break their postseason drought. After kicking off the season with a convincing victory, the Jets fell to the Cowboys in their Week 2 game.

The defeat could not be digested by Gardner easily, and following the game, he started to show his frustration by choosing to take a break from social media.

Following their loss of Aaron Rodgers in the Jets’ season-opening game, the Jets were already in an odd position regarding their offense. Additionally, their 30-10 defeat against the Cowboys led to a virtual brawl among the fans.

Sauce Gardner also enlisted his name in the fight regarding Ceedee Lamb, who had a big game in a Week 2 win over the Jets. After the match, already the Jet’s players were in great depression after their great loss, while the brawl with Gardner brought a pile of criticism for him.

Sauce Gardner removed his X account shortly after the altercation, though it is still uncertain if the reason for this was the altercation involving Lamb.

Jets running back Breece Hall also stunned the netizens with his social media activity by tweeting with four football emojis and then deleting it a while later.

Cowboys beat Jets in NFL Week 2

Apparently, both New York teams’ power is not yet ready to fight against the Cowboys. The Cowboys won their season opener against the divisional rival New York Giants 40-0 and then followed that up with a convincing performance against the New York Jets to improve to 2-0 on the year.

The Cowboys once again excelled in this contest due to their excellent defense. Micah Parsons, a star linebacker for the Cowboys, recorded two sacks, three tackles for a loss, and four quarterback hits. Osa Odighizuwa also made a significant contribution to the team’s convincing victory by recording one sack, one tackle for a loss, and one quarterback hit.

On that particular night, the offensive line for the Cowboys was productive as well. Dak Prescott completed 31 of his 38 passes for 255 yards and two touchdowns. In contrast, the Jets’ offense struggled that evening, managing only 215 total yards of offense while only running close to half as many plays as the Cowboys.

Zach Wilson, the Jets’ lone contender for the starting role, fared poorly. He completed 12 of 27 passes for 170 yards, one score, and three picks. The Jets were reportedly terrible in their offense as well.

Gardner, who deleted his X account, was unable to have an impact on the game and instead missed a pick-six opportunity in the first half.

In a lopsided loss against the Cowboys, the Jets managed just 10 points. This is not obviously an expected performance from the team with whom Aaron Rodgers is dreaming of winning his next Super Bowl. Let’s see if the Jets can bounce back in their Week 3 game.
