Jets GM Joe Douglas confirms expectations for Aaron Rodgers’ season return after QB’s latest appearance

The vibe and excitement Aaron Rodgers offered to his New York Jets teammates in the offseason was enough to commence the season with a win. While the Jets were in the way of losing their pride, the superstar made his appearance as Superman in the locker room, instigating his pals to enjoy a winning trend.

His leadership and presence on the field are known to transform a team, and the Jets are eagerly awaiting any news of his possible return. This led the Jets’ general manager Joe Douglas to drop some indirect hints on Rodgers’ seemingly imminent comeback on the field.

Joe Douglas foresees Aaron Rodgers’ comeback

Week 8 of the NFL game already has passed without Aaron Rodgers. The fans flocked together at every game to see A-rod. Nevertheless, they had to satisfy their eyes by seeing him in the gallery rather than on the field.

Hence, GM Joe Douglas decided to boost them with some updated news on A-Rod’s latest development from the injury.

Claiming him not a doctor to update the accurate news on his injury, the general manager retorted that their quarterback’s swift recovery process was not a surprising one to them.

“I am not putting anything out there like that [if Rodgers returns for a game]. That’s not my place. I’m not a doctor. I don’t have any breaking news for you like that. To just see him be able to do some of the things he is doing, it is not surprising.”

The deadline for his comeback is uncertain, yet his recovery process is serving as a good hope for the team. The four-time MVP already set some definite goals for him to join his team quickly. The GM revealed that Rodgers is known for his remarkable ability to escape pressure and evade tacklers and he seemingly possesses trust in their starter.

“I think we all know the competitive makeup that Aaron [Rodgers] has. He has goals and he’s gonna chase those goals.  It’s just good having him around when he is out there pregaming, when he is around the team.”

Aaron Rodgers left the Jets in the middle of a stormy ocean in his debut game in the Big Apple due to a season-ending Achilles injury. The event unveiled an opportunity for the Jets to figure a gem out within their inexperienced starter Zach Wilson. Wilson’s leadership enabled the team to win three straight games.

Rodgers’ latest Jets appearance amps up excitement for return

Age is just a factor that Aaron Rodgers proved during his Green Bay Packers journey. This season the quarterback made a vow to prove his excellence on the field again, being a supportive guide for the Jet’s offense to lead them in the Super Bowl.

Nevertheless, the injury might have hurt his body, but not his determination and his rehabbing period served as a perfect example of it. Though an Achilles injury requires more than six weeks to rehab, the 39-year-old was spotted without crutches just three weeks after his “innovative” surgery.

He even rushed to join the Jets team in the locker room while never forgetting to entertain his fans by throwing passes before the Jets vs Philadelphia Eagles play. The recovery process also imbued trust and hope in Rodgers, leading him to keep expectations of returning to the field this season, though, there is still a “long way to go”, per the New York Jets.

Though some medical experts displayed their disbelief on the matter, Aaron Rodgers is just vying to join his team as soon as possible, soon after checking all the boxes.
