Jets HC Robert Saleh savagely jabs Patrick Mahomes, Jalen Hurts, and other NFL QBs following big upset win vs. Eagles

The NFL Week 6 pulled out a completely astonishing scenario where the Philadelphia Eagles and San Francisco 49ers, two of the undefeated teams so far this season, suffered an upset loss to the league’s two average teams. The Robert Saleh-led New York Jets are one of those lucky two who were able to let the Eagles taste defeat for the first time this season.

Following the upset winning night, Saleh had some bold words to describe his team’s performances at the time of battling the league’s best quarterbacks so far this season since Week 1.

After Aaron Rodgers met a season-ending injury and left the Jets offensive room in jeopardy, no one could imagine the team would be able to grasp their expected win. However, Robert Saleh’s defensive lineup helped the team find some solace and it didn’t disappoint the fans either.

Robert Saleh’s defensive lineup not only didn’t let the supporters down, but it also gave the team some much-needed comfort. The Jets’ defensive lineup proved to be the coach’s most important tool in frustrating the Eagles and facilitating the offensive players’ scoring in the team’s shocking 20-14 victory in Week 6.

The starting lineup did not only provide an outstanding performance in this game; ever since Rodgers tore his Achilles tendon, Saleh’s defensive strategies have delighted the team’s supporters. During a post-match interview, the head coach was not afraid to brag about his defensive lineup and to make playful jabs at the quarterbacks his guys had confronted so far.

Robert Saleh claimed that though they were not able to win in all the games, they were able to “embarrass’ all the team’s quarterbacks, including Josh Allen, Dak Prescott, Patrick Mahomes, Russell Wilson, and Jalen Hurts.

“You know, through these first six weeks we’ve played a gauntlet of quarterbacks. And I know we haven’t gotten all wins, but we’ve embarrassed all of ‘em.”

The Jets limited the Eagles to just 14 points on the scoreboard. If the Jets defense maintains this level of play without Rodgers, for whom insurance covers were just denied, the team can hope to win a few more games in the following weeks.

Jets beat Eagles in NFL Week 6 to snap 0-12 losing streak

Only three of the 32 teams’ head-to-head meetings have ended with one team winning all three times, and the Jets vs. Eagles game was one of those three times. Following their most recent victory over the Denver Broncos, led by Russell Wilson, and their ability to exert significant pressure on the Kansas City Chiefs and Buffalo Bills, Robert Saleh spoke in an upbeat manner, daring to hope for an unexpected victory.

“What’s cool is the NFC champs are walking into our building and it’s an opportunity for us to get after them. We’ve played some good football teams. We took Buffalo and Kansas City down to the wire. We’ve got another great one coming in.

Nevertheless, on Sunday, Robert Saleh not only had the dream coming true over the previously undefeated team, but also closed their 0-12 losing streak against the Eagles. With the win, the Jet’s team also earned their first-ever win over the Eagles in franchise history.

The Jets head coach, who had grown weary of hearing about the Eagles’ 12-game winning streak, could not contain his joy as he finished his postgame news conference and turned to leave, declaring, “They ain’t 12-0 no more.”
