Jets’ Sauce Gardner drops verdict on New York pizza after responding to Ravens star’s claims of favorable calls

Sauce Gardner, the New York Jets cornerback, has attracted a greater audience by dint of his craziness for sauce, rather than his on-field prowess. Gardner even used to wear a chain, featuring a sauce bottle, in which he carries his preferred sauce to delight his day.

The cornerback surprised their storied starter Aaron Rodgers with a glitzy Jets-themed pendant prior to the regular season, while his recent surprise was for his fans by revealing one of his latest taste bites of New York City.

Sauce Gardner gives a thumbs up to New York-style pizza

In spite of living in the Big Apple for almost two years, Sauce Gardner had not dared to give the city’s pizza a little try. In the middle of the season, the cornerback finally took the initiative and tried New York City’s pizza for the first time.

The result was expected. The player, harboring love for the NY team, perhaps found his first bite of pizza as sweet as his first experience in onning the Jet’s jersey. Gardner soon took to his X, formerly known as Twitter, to share his experience with his fans.

“I just tried NY pizza for the first time… ITS FIREEEE,” he wrote in his post.

The Jets player has grown up eating Detroit-style pizza, serving as the reason behind his late enjoying of the New York City’s pizza. Because he thought no pizza could beat Detroit-style pizza, he decided to entertain his taste with his preferred one. Nevertheless, this time the New York City’s pizza changed his perception.

Sauce Gardner fires back at accusations of referee favoritism

On the latest episode of Punch Line Pod with Marlon Humphrey, former Baltimore Ravens cornerback slammed Sauce Gardner, claiming that the Defensive Rookie of the last season avoided a plenty of holding in his rookie season.

“I’m not hating and this was last year. Sauce got away with a lot [of holding] last year. I mean a lot. A lot.”

Though previously, the Jet’s defensive back deleted his X account to get rid of fans’ criticism, this time he did not hold back to respond. The player, coming out a season showcasing his best, posting 75 tackles, 20 passes defended, and two interceptions, provided a blunt reply to the three-time Pro Bowler’s undesired words for him.

“Me personally, if I gotta say ‘I’m not hating’ before I say something about somebody, then I’m just not gon’ say it. That’s me tho.”

Sitting in the No. 3 seed of the AFC East, the Jets has struggled much to manage a win, yet a little of it was for their second-season cornerback’s output. In spite of being attacked by the New England Patriots starter Mac Jones, he amused his fans with his footing, though according to him Jones attempted to snatch his ability of fatherhood.

Whatever the case, Jones could escape from Gardner on the field and from the NFL as well, per CBS News.
