Jey Uso gets joined by former rival in Rhea Ripley’s list of admirers

Rhea Ripley is seemingly the most desired woman on the red brand, as she continues to accumulate a list of admirers. For weeks, fans have observed some tension between her and Jey Uso, along with occasional flirting from the latter. In the latest episode of RAW this week, Jey’s former rival attempted to make a move on Mami, albeit unsuccessfully.

The storyline between Jey Uso and Rhea Ripley began all the way back to last month when the former Bloodline member was brought over to RAW. What followed was Judgement Day’s countless attempts to recruit Jey Uso, and even a hint at a potential romance between him and Rhea Ripley.

Jey Uso gets joined by former champion in Ripley admiration

The go-home episode of Monday Night RAW before Crown Jewel featured a Halloween theme, which gave superstars the perfect opportunity to dress up. New Day members Xavier Woods and Kofi Kingston were seen dressing up as Dominik Mysterio and Damian Priest, which garnered a ton of attention on social media.

Dressed up as ‘Dirty Dom’, Xavier Woods tried his luck at flirting with Rhea Ripley on RAW this week. The New Day members were seen having a backstage interaction with Damian priest and Finn Balor. When Rhea Ripley showed up with Dominik Mysterio and JD McDonagh, Woods said “Hola Mami”, before being dragged away by his teammate.

Xavier Woods now joins the list of people who have unsuccessfully tried to woo Rhea Ripley. Although we have seen Jey Uso flirting with Mami here and there for a few weeks, it’s likely meant to be a part of their storyline and not progress into an actual relationship, as Ripley is currently in an on-screen relationship with Dominik Mysterio.

The Uso’s storied rivalry with the New Day

The New Day and The Usos are undoubtedly two of the most prominent and most important tag teams in WWE. Although the two teams are currently not what they once used to be, they had a pretty epic and memorable rivalry few years ago.

Each of the matches between The Usos and The New Day has been top-notch, with the two teams crossing paths with each other on almost 50 different occasions over the last decade. They have consistently been at the top of the tag team roster for a long time, and The New Day held the record for the longest-reigning Tag Team Champions before The Usos broke it.

Without a doubt, The New Days and The Usos have one of the best long-term rivalries in WWE. They always put on a fantastic match that had the fans at the edge of their seats. What’s more, they even had an iconic Rap Battle which saw The New Day pick up the win in the end.

Fast forward to today, The New Day’s Big E has been out of action for over a year due to a neck injury suffered last year, leaving the popular faction with only two members. On the other hand, The Usos have been going through a rough patch for the past few years in The Bloodline storyline and even broke up a couple of months ago when Jimmy Uso betrayed Jey Uso at SummerSlam.

Although it looks unlikely that the two iconic teams will ever cross paths again, fans hope to see them in the ring together at the very least for one last time.
