Ever since Jey Uso arrived on Monday nights, he has been the front and center of the red brand. He has been relentlessly pursued by the Judgement Day for the past few weeks, who wanted the former Bloodline member to be a part of their group. Despite rejecting them multiple times, it looks like they aren’t done with him, even attacking Jey on RAW this week after Jey tried to flirt with Rhea Ripley.
Jey Uso was brought over to Monday Night RAW by Cody Rhodes, who has been helping him all this time in his ongoing feud with the Judgement Day. WWE has even hinted at a possible romance between The Nightmare and Main Event Jey.
Jey Uso tries to rizz up Rhea Ripley calling her he new ‘Tribal Chief’
Over the past couple of weeks, WWE has been hinting at a romantic angle involving Jey Uso and Rhea Ripley. It all began when Finn Balor informed Jey that Rhea Ripley had a keen interest in him joining their faction. It was also insinuated by Cody Rhodes that maybe Ripley was more interested in the former Bloodline member than Dominik Mysterio, her on-screen boyfriend. It all continued with multiple fan arts of Jey and Rhea together, with them even acknowledging it in a fun back-and-forth.
On Monday Night RAW this week, Rhea Ripley was already in a bad mood, as she opened the show blaming Damian Priest for his unsatisfactory leadership in her absence and issued a stern ultimatum to Dominik Mysterio. Following that, Jey Uso came out and told Ripley that they all missed her during her absence. He even addressed her as the “New Tribal Chief” and took a shot at his cousin Roman Reigns, comparing him with The Nightmare.
“First and foremost importantly, can we welcome back miss Rhea Ripley. Hey, we miss you. We all miss you. It looks like there’s a new Tribal Chief on Monday Night, and apparently she’s bigger balls than Roman Reigns ever did,” said Jey Uso in the segment. Judgement Day wasn’t very impressed by Uso’s remarks, and attacked him soon after.
Cody Rhodes saves Jey Uso from Judgement Day attack
Following Jey Uso’s hilarious comments about Rhea Ripley this week on RAW, he was subjected to a beatdown by the Judgement Day. Thankfully, Cody Rhodes came out to make the save. This prompted Adam Pearce to come out and declare that Finn Balor will defend their Tag Team Championships against the duo of Cody Rhodes and Jey Uso.
The American Nightmare formed an alliance with Roman Reigns’ former right hand man after bringing him back to the company at WWE Payback and announced that he will be switching over to Monday Night RAW. Afterwards, he has even helped out Jey in his recent confrontations with the Judgement Day. Now, both of them are set to face Damian Priest and Finn Balor for the tag championships at the upcoming PLE, Fastlane.
It looks like the ongoing rivalry between Jey Uso and the Judgement Day will continue for a few more weeks, at least until Fastlane. It will be interesting to see how things play out between the superstars in the coming few weeks.
