In the wait for the season to resume, a trade report made the entire NBA community shocked by reporting that the Milwaukee Bucks have agreed to a deal to acquire the services of Damian Lillard as part of a three-team trade involving the Portland Trail Blazers and the Phoenix Suns.
As expected, the NBA community will always react to such an unexpected trade. Jimmy Butler, a Miami Heat star with numerous accolades but not a single league MVP, has accused the Bucks of tampering to get Lillard.
Jimmy Butler raises Bucks conspiracy theory
In the game between Jimmy’s Heat and the Bucks, he worked tirelessly to try to secure their elimination from the East’s No. 1 seed. This sparked many comparisons between him and Michael Jordan, which in turn fueled rumors about his relationship with Jordan.
The conspiracy theory of Jordan being the father of Jimmy Butler has gained significant attention online. Jimmy’s domination in the game against the Bucks led to the creation of dozens of TikTok and YouTube videos that have further advanced the conspiracy theory.
Jimmy performed exceedingly well in the game by scoring a career-high 56 points on 19 for 28 shooting from the field and 15 for 18 shooting from the free-throw line. He also achieved a franchise record of 22 points in the first quarter, contributing to a 119 – 114 win.
However, despite his performance, Jimmy, who was born to his parents Jimmy Butler II and Londa Butler in Houston in 1989, has been heavily referred to as Jordan’s son based on a 2016 rumor of Jordan having an unidentified son in Butler. The hope that this conspiracy theory will die anytime soon has been jeopardized as Jimmy keeps exhibiting similar skills as the legend Jordan.
Tyler Herro seconds Butler’s doubts
Following the buzzing news of the Bucks acquiring the services of Damian Lillard, a lot of reactions keep pouring in. As soon as the deal was announced, Jimmy Butler questioned the Bucks, suspecting potential “tampering.” He would be happy to see the NBA look into the situation surrounding Damian’s trade to the Bucks.
Jimmy had recently been seen in a video posted by Lake Show Yo on X, formerly known as Twitter, saying, “Yo NBA, Y’all need to look into the Bucks for tampering….I’m just going to put that out there…..Y’all didn’t hear it from me.” In what seems to be an affirmative action, Tyler Herro reposted the video and said, “What he said.”
Tyler Herro and Jimmy Butler, who have enjoyed playing together for the Miami Heat, have always been good friends. Tyler had expressed his appreciation for Jimmy’s influence in his career before, as reported by ESPN: “Ever since I got here, he’s been like a big brother to me… without Jimmy, I probably wouldn’t be doing this as a rookie.”
Following Jimmy’s concerns over tampering by the Bucks with Damian’s deal, the NBA community is waiting to see what happens next. Share your views on this issue in the comment section.
