Jimmy Uso joins injured reserve list, for real

Back in October last year, Jimmy Uso delivered the comedy gold of dialogue when he said, “I’m on the injured reserve list,” during a backstage segment with Roman Reigns, prompting a chorus of laughter from the crowd. But this time he is on the list for real.

According to Fightful, Jimmy Uso has been sidelined with an injury and will not be a part of the upcoming WWE Draft. The nature of the injury and return timeline is unknown at the time of writing. Jimmy will be tagged as a free agent for the foreseeable future while he recovers from his injury.

On the April 12 episode of WWE SmackDown, Solo Sikoa turned on Jimmy for failing to win his WrestleMania 40 match against Jey. Tama Tonga made his debut in attacking Jimmy and the duo assaulted him, kicking him out of the Bloodline in the process. He might’ve picked up the injury during this angle but there is no such confirmation.

Another possibility is that he was injured while working on the match with Jey Uso on night one of WM 40. Despite Rikishi’s appraisal of the match, Jimmy’s brother Jey believes that they let everyone down with their performance.

Jey opens up about his match with Jimmy Uso

Jimmy and Jey saw the culmination of their rivalry on the grandest stage of them all at WrestleMania. During an interview with the Gorilla Position Podcast, Jey Uso discussed the match and said, “I kind of felt like we did let the people down. I wanted to go out there and have a straight-up banger too. I wanted to do the wrestling part but, let alone make sure the emotion part is there.”

Jey further added that he believed the match was cut short due to time issues and they could’ve done more on the night. While Jey is currently the face of WWE RAW, there are rumors that the brothers will reunite again for a Bloodline civil war storyline but that will remain speculation until Jimmy is back to full fitness.
