A world-renowned hand surgeon, Dr. Thomas Graham, performed the delicate surgery, aiming to fix the crucial ligament and setting the stage for Burrow’s eventual return to the gridiron.

Bengals head coach Zac Taylor said, “Joe Burrow underwent successful surgery on his wrist today. The procedure went as planned and he is expected to make a complete recovery. Joe will return to Cincinnati this week to be with the team and begin the recovery and rehab process.”
The ligaments that were injured in Burrow’s elbow play an important role in stabilizing the elbow. The estimated recovery time for this injury is four to six months. Given these details, it seems likely that Burroughs will be fully recovered and ready for the 2024 season. Burrow underwent surgery on Nov. 27, and with a four-to-six-month recovery timeline, he should be ready for training camp in July, barring any setbacks in the rehabilitation process.
Burrow had to exit a game against the Baltimore Ravens in November after suffering what seemed to be a minor injury. Unfortunately for the NFL nation, the 27-year-old sustained an injury that would keep him out of action for the remainder of the current season.

While it is obvious that Joe Burrow won’t be returning this season, the fans are still eager to find out when the franchise QB is expected to return.
According to Bengals Beat reporter Kelsey Conway, “Burrow’s recovery process will be closely tracked as the injury took place on his throwing hand. Burrow and the team’s medical staff will decide whether he throws in the spring.”
The surgery was performed by Dr. Thomas Graham, who serves as chief physician for the Lehigh Valley Orthopedic Institute. A native of East Liverpool, Ohio, Dr. Graham received his medical degree from the University of Cincinnati. He is widely recognized as a world-renowned hand surgeon.
