Jon Moxley injury update

AEW superstar Jon Moxley was set to fight Rey Fenix for the AEW International Championship on last week’s AEW Dynamite: Title Tuesday. However, he had to withdraw from the scheduled match as he had some medical reasons.

Jon was initially scheduled to perform at a Revolver show last Sunday but had to announce that he wasn’t medically fit to compete. His last match before being sidelined was against Rey Fenix on September 20, in which he lost his AEW title to Rey Fenix. He got sidelined due to a concussion he suffered that night and hasn’t competed in any matches since. Still, the fans were hoping for his return last week as AEW announced a match between Jon Moxley and Rey Fenix.

A few days ago journalist Dave Meltzer speculated in a report that Jon didn’t perform in the Revolver show because AEW might not want him to compete anywhere before returning to their ring. But his speculation went wrong as Jon didn’t appear on last week’s episode of AEW Dynamite. Later he was replaced with Orange Cassidy and Orange was able to win the title from Rey Fenix.

Moxley pulled from AEW Dynamite despite advertisement

Former AEW Champion Jon Moxley was scheduled to participate in an anticipated rematch against Rey Fenix for the AEW International Championship on last Tuesday’s AEW Dynamite. But, unfortunately, he wasn’t able to compete as he was not medically cleared to wrestle. This was announced just before the show started.

Moxley’s title loss was very dramatic as he had to relinquish his title to Rey Fenix during the Grand Slam event. The former Champion suffered a concussion during that fight and was unable to compete. Despite all this AEW announced his rematch against Rey Fenix at AEW Dynamite: Title Tuesday.

This got the fans excited for Jon’s return as the superstar was absent from shows for more than two weeks in a row. However, things didn’t go as planned for AEW because Jon was still in the recovery stage. After that, the CEO of AEW, Tony Khan announced that Jon would be replaced by Orange Cassidy in that match.
