In their first year after the departure of franchise legend Aaron Rodgers, the Green Bay Packers have found a gem in Jordan Love. If they manage to keep their hands on him for a couple of years, something big might be on the cards for this storied franchise.
Jordan Love gets Matt LaFleur appreciation
Love’s epic performance against the high-flying Dallas Cowboys garnered appreciation from far and wide. However, the most important piece of praise for him would be his coach, Matt LaFleur.
LaFleur waxed lyrical about his young quarterback in the post-match press conference. According to NFL.com, he said, “Jordan Love. Wow. That’s about all I can say. What he did and the poise he shows. The command he shows. … I’m just so proud and happy for him.”
“We came in here with the mindset that we were gonna dominate,” said Love “A lot of people counted us out and we didn’t care about that. We knew what opportunity we had in front of us and made the most of it tonight.”
The win, however, was a devastating blow for Dak Prescott and the Dallas Cowboys. Prescott, being the perfect sportsman that he is, shared the blame of the loss with Mike McCarthy. As for the Packers, they move forward in the playoffs with only one thing on their mind, belief.
