“We’re all very hungry for this upcoming year. The confidence from top to bottom is there. The organization believes that it’s the perfect time to have a chance to win a Super Bowl this year. Those conversations we had after the 49ers game were, man, work harder. Try and find ways to get better because next year we’re gonna do it”, Love said via NFL.com.
Gone are the days of viewing the team as merely a young and promising group. Reflecting on past experiences and bolstered by new additions like Josh Jacobs and Xavier McKinney, Love expressed a belief that the Packers are poised for Super Bowl contention.
“There’s no more, ‘We’re a young team.’ There’s no more of those what ifs..People know what we’re about now. Obviously, we’ll have that target on our back. People want to beat us. We’re hungry. I know everybody in that locker room is hungry and ready to get back. And obviously we added some key pieces with Josh Jacobs and Xavier McKinney.”
McKinney’s arrival is expected to fortify the Packers’ defense under the guidance of defensive coordinator Jeff Hafley. While the departure of Aaron Jones may alter the team’s dynamic, the acquisition of Jacobs ensures a formidable presence in the backfield.
