Jose Mourinho pleasantly interrupts former assistant’s press conference to congratulate on Egyptian Super Cup win

Jose Mourinho is one of the fiercest men in football. The Portuguese manager never backs down from a challenge, especially when it comes to using one tool he knows how to use best: his mouth. The former Real Madrid manager can take a dig at club owners and even clash with some of the biggest names in the game.

However, on his days, he can be a very charming man. The legendary manager reached out to his former assistant coach to congratulate him on reaching the Egyptian Super Cup final, disrupting the latter’s press conference, although he took it with the utmost excitement and enthusiasm.

Jose Mourinho surprises former assistant

Jose Mourinho, for all his fierceness and grit, remains one of the most charming men in football. The Portuguese manager is always full of surprises. Whether it’s inviting a ball boy to meet the whole Tottenham for his quick thinking that helped his team score a goal or throwing a banana to Marcos Rojo in a cup final because he knew the defender was tired, Mourinho has shown us all how treating people with respect has always been a part of him.

The Roma manager placed a call to Ricardo Formosinho in the most unusual of places – a press conference. However, rather than waiting till the conference was over to pick up Mourinho’s call, the Modern Future manager asked the press to wait for a minute while he took Mourinho’s call.

Formosinho later revealed that Mourinho, who recently revealed why Kevin De Bruyne’s Chelsea spell wasn’t successful, had called to congratulate him on winning the semi-final of the Egyptian Super Cup on Christmas day after a dramatic penalty shootout.

Jose Mourinho spreads the Christmas cheer

Jose Mourinho’s wonderful Christmas didn’t stop at placing a call to congratulate his former assistant for guiding his team into a major domestic final. Jose Mourinho also took his time to gather his backroom staff and employees of AS Roma to hand food to families in need of it this Christmas.

Despite the slow start to the season for Roma, Mourinho has guided Roma to three wins in five games in recent times, with a 2-0 win over champions Napoli clearly setting the right mood for everyone associated with Roma.

Lorenzo Pellegrini scored the game’s first goal in the 76th minute before Romelu Lukaku added a second in the 96th minute. This condemned Napoli to their third loss in five games.
