Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool receives major injury boosts ft. Alisson, Jota and more others before the EPL season’s end

The Premier League title race is heating up so close to the end of the season, with Liverpool, Arsenal, and Manchester City vying for the top spot. Only one point separates them, with Arsenal and Liverpool tied for the first position. However, the next weeks are going to be the deciding factor for each of their eventual success.

Liverpool are fighting to win their second ever Premier League trophy, and they have a very good squad who can give their best. And now their chances are going to get even better.

Liverpool gets massive injury boosts with key players return to training

Liverpool fans will be very happy to hear that some of their best players have returned to fitness. Four very important players have returned to training and they are Diogo Jota, Alisson Becker, Trent Alexander-Arnold and Stefan Bajcetic. Manager Jurgen Klopp had previously hoped they will return this week and be fully training with them, and his wish has come true.

The addition of Alisson Becker is probably their best news, with the Brazilian goalkeeper indispensable for them. He was injured at the start of February and can be expected to start the next game itself. Trent Alexander-Arnold is similarly important and will be a massive boost to their creativity and attack up front. He was also injured in early February, and will surely start the next game as well.

Diogo Jota has been sorely missed since his injury in mid-February. The Portuguese forward is very clinical, something they have missed in recent weeks. There is a chance he could also immediately return to the starting lineup.

However, Bajcetic may not make an immediate comeback being one of their young prospects yet. But his return is still great news, as Alexis Mac Allister can be given rest during games. All four players’ returns are a godsend to Jurgen Klopp, especially at a crucial time.

What are the chances of Liverpool winning the Premier League?

The return of the players have boosted their chances of winning the Premier League, which are already good enough. The Reds are currently tied at first place with Arsenal with 71 points, with the Gunners ahead due to a superior goal difference. Manchester City are only one point behind as well.

The three teams no longer have games against each other, so it will be down to their remaining 7 games. They will have pretty easy fixtures each, though they all still have to face Tottenham. Arsenal will have a bit harder schedule though, as they will games against some good sides in Aston Villa, Manchester United, and Chelsea. Meanwhile, both Arsenal and City have UCL games, with the latter also alive in the FA Cup. Liverpool only have the Europa League to be concerned about.

Another important factor is that while Liverpool have been boosted through player returns from injuries, the other two teams have some players out through injury. If Liverpool play their cards right and the other two lose ground, they can claim the Premier League title. But at this point, all three teams have an equal chance of winning the league.

Liverpool will now prepare for their next game, which is against Atalanta in the Europa League quarter finals on Thursday.
