Kenneth Walker Injury Update: Seahawks’ star RB returns to training ahead of NFL preseason game vs Cowboys

Following the suffering of a hernia issue last year during camp and missing Weeks 1 and 14, the Seattle Seahawks player Kenneth Walker again appeared on the injury list early in camp prior to this season.

The Seahawks’ training camp got underway on July 26 when they were battling with a few running back health issues. Walker was also amongst them, although gratefully, the running back made a comeback recently.

What type of injury did Kenneth Walker suffer?

The Seahawks won their first preseason game against the Minnesota Vikings on Thursday night, getting off to a strong start to the year. Despite winning, the squad is deeply worried over Kenneth’s injuries as due to a groin injury, the 22-year-old skipped the entire training camp.

Pete Carroll, the team’s coach, said to ESPN that even though the player’s injury was not serious, it was decided to put him on rest because they were reluctant to make it worse.

“Yeah, because it’s a groin, we’ve got to make sure. He doesn’t feel bad. It’s not a terrible injury or anything like that. We just don’t want to aggravate it now and make it something that lingers through camp.”

His injury unfolded the opportunity for Zach Charbonnet, Bryant Koback, and Kenny McIntosh to take his spot until he could be able to take charge.

The Seahawks enjoyed a good day on Saturday since K9 resumed practice, allaying their worries about the receiver position. However, the receiver has a history of injuries, which has caused his team to be more vigilant right now. They are closely observing his movement since they don’t want to cause damage him again.

The team’s management is well aware that groin injuries might persist if they are not fully recovered in a timely manner. Carroll stated that with Walker in the camp, they were just checking to be sure of his injury, and until they would be much sure, nothing could be outlined on his return.

“It just kind of crept up on him, really. He didn’t get hit or anything like that. Just all the sudden, he started to feel something, so we’re just checking him out and being really cautious right now.”

K9’s prowess was unaffected by injuries as he amassed 1,050 yards and nine touchdowns in 15 games. The Seahawks must therefore ensure that he is completely injury-free and has a firm hold on his position before their next game vs Dallas Cowboys on August 20.
