Kenny Smith ridicules his own attempts to imitate Stephen Curry: “Yo Steph, you’re not the only one trying to get in shape for the season”

It’s not every day that you see an NBA legend entertain the fans with his antics. Well, Kenny Smith seemed to have done exactly that when the two-time NBA champion tried to copy Stephen Curry, and surprisingly made a mockery of himself.

The Golden State Warriors star guard was recently spotted working out in the deserts of Abu Dhabi and with the new NBA season just around the corner, the fans were delighted to see Curry being dedicated to getting in shape. Kenny being the natural entertainer he is, decided to have some fun which didn’t go as planned.

The NBA Legend tried to imitate Stephen Curry’s desert workout in Abu Dhabi in his own video. In the video Smith said, “Yo Steph, you are not the only one trying to get in shape for the season. Let’s Go!” and after that statement proceeded to run uphill a sand dune. However, his attempt ended up in a mockery of his actions as Curry looked fit and agile in his workout while Smith who is a 58-year-old with bad knees was barely able to cover a distance of 50 meters.

Kenny Smith has been around in the basketball community for quite some time now. After the legend retired, he took up a position as an NBA commentator on the show “Inside the NBA” on TNT. He is highly praised for his role there and is beloved for his entertaining and insightful commentary.

In his career as a professional commentator which he pursued after his playing days were over, Kenny Smith has won 4 Emmy Awards for outstanding sports Analyst. He is good friends with his co-host at Inside the NBA, Charles Barkley, and their on-screen partnership is loved by many.
