Garnett’s opinion, as expressed on “Ticket and The Truth,” runs against to the widespread belief that superstars are supposed to control the ball at all times. He offers an interesting take on how James and Durant, who have both frequently played as main ball handlers, may adjust. Kevin Garnett stresses the importance of variety in their play:
“LeBron and KD, it’s time for them to be spot up. We gave the ball to them for ages.”
“Can they play off the ball once? Can they go in the corner and now someone make a play for them.”
