The Kylian Mbappe transfer saga is seemingly going to finally reach a conclusion after many years of rumors. The Frenchman has been one of the most coveted players since his debut in 2017. For all the years to come, he had been linked to Real Madrid and many other clubs.
He was even close to joining Madrid in 2022 but at the time he decided to stay at Paris Saint-Germain. However, he is now sure to leave France and is likely to join the Spanish giants. And new reports suggest he has snubbed bigger offers from elsewhere.
Details of reported Manchester United offer for Mbappe
While Kylian Mbappe is mostly expected to join Real Madrid, there are some other clubs interested in him. And one of those clubs was Premier League giant Manchester United, which recently got a new co-owner in Sir Jim Ratcliffe. The British billionaire wanted to bring big changes to the club, and one of them was to bring in Mbappe.
It would have been a great move for the Red Devils, who would have gotten a world class player on a free transfer as well. And they knew that Mbappe wouldn’t want to join them, and that’s why they offered him a monstrous contract offer never seen before.

Reports suggest that Mbappe was offered a salary of €500 million, which would have spanned 5 years. Furthermore, he would have been given a signing bonus of around €200 million. A player like Mbappe would have brought Manchester United back to their glory days, and it makes sense why they offered so much money to him.
But despite the huge €700 million offer, Mbappe rejected it, as everything points out that he will join Real Madrid this summer. It seems money will have no factor in his decision and Madrid is his preferred destination.
Kylian Mbappe’s reported payday at Real Madrid
According to many reliable sources, Kylian Mbappe has already signed his contract agreement with Real Madrid though there is no official confirmation. While Los Blancos will be happy to add such a player on a free transfer, the French superstar will still be very expensive.
Real Madrid will spend a lot of money on Mbappe, though it is nothing compared to the offer from United. In fact, it is not even close to what he earns at PSG currently, as he will take a huge pay cut to join the record UCL champions.

He has been given a five year contract, which will total €225 million. This includes a huge €150 million signing fee, while he will also earn around €15 million annually in wages. Furthermore, he will have a percentage of his image rights, which will also bring him money. While this is a huge deal worth millions, it is still a great bargain for a great player.
Kylian Mbappe may be close to finally joining Real Madrid, but we will have to wait a few months more in order to get the confirmation.
