However, the trio failed to gel together, and their time together has been branded as a failure by many. Both Messi and Neymar have left the club, and Mbappe also seems to be on his way out soon.

Kylian Mbappe was reported to be a very divisive figure in the dressing room, and it was said that he had alienated both Lionel Messi and Neymar Jr. in their last season together. However, a story from the Frenchman suggests otherwise.
While the trio is remembered unfavorably, they did have some moments of brilliance together, and one such goal proves that. It was Mbappe’s goal against Lille last season, which was scored in just 8 seconds, a record in the French league’s history. Messi had received the ball from Neymar at kick-off, and the Argentine passed a beautiful long ball to Mbappe, who lobbed it over the opposition keeper.

Mbappe revealed that the goal was actually rehearsed the day before the game, and manager Christopher Galtier was pressing them to perform the same goal in training.
Mbappe said that the three superstars decided to ignore their manager, “Galtier and his assistant asked us to repeat it two or three times, but we told him: We understood it. Donât worry, we will do it tomorrow. He kept saying, but tomorrow. and we answered him, Donât worry, tomorrow we will do it.” The story shows how the trio were somewhat brilliant, and shows what they could have been at their best.
Kylian Mbappe believes Lionel Messi was treated unfairly at PSG
Unfortunately, both Lionel Messi and Neymar Jr. made messy departures from the club. Before leaving for Inter Miami and Al Hilal, respectively, the two were booed by fans multiple times. The two stars, especially the Argentine maestro, received no love from the fans or those around the club.
Kylian Mbappe however, says that he misses playing with Messi. “You always miss playing with Leo Messi. For a forward like me, you love running into space, with him, you are certain you can get the ball. It’s a luxury that only he can give you.”

He also said that the Ballon d’Or winner deserved more respect during his time in Paris. “Overall, playing with him, it has been special. Messi deserves all the respect and actually in France, he didn’t receive the respect he deserved.”
Kylian Mbappe will now focus on his next match with PSG on Sunday, when they face US Orleans in the French Cup Round of 32 fixture.
